I have had my tablet since March of this year and there should be a warranty on it for a year. How can I find out what to do to get a replacement on my DEAD Kindle?

This is something you will have to find out for yourself. Nobody here can help you. Did you go to the company website where you ordered this and ask them - maybe Customer Support. Good luck.
Hi Brenda. I would avoid putting your mail like this in public spots. Spam bots can easily get it and start spamming your mail like crazy.
From your description it is a problem with the construction of your phone. Like stated it is in the warranty so just return to the shop your husband bought and ask for them to fix. Trying to tamper with it will void your warranty
Get your receipts and warranty info and follow warranty instructions. If you don't have receipts I doubt you can get free fix. Call the manufacturer customer service for help. Look up contact info online by searching with Google or Bing.
Depends on the warranty and how it broke. The one year warranty written on the box is from the manufacturer. You may or may not need your receipt. Call/email the manufacturer and ask about the warranty. If the warranty doesn't cover accidents, hopefully the device broke under normal use, and you'll tell support that when you contact them.
If you can't get it shut down, then try leaving it on but unplugged until the battery is completely dead. Hopefully when it is plugged back in and charged for a few minutes it should restart normally. If this doesn't work, then you should contact Blackberry Tech Support for your area, they are usually quite good to deal with, but I suggest contacting them by phone as email can be cumbersome and take several days to make progress. Their phone number for your country should be on the website. Obviously your playbook is still under warranty as it wasn't released more than a year ago.
