You say you are using the pen drive???? Is this some sort of video file or files you maybe downloaded from the web or something? Possibly the problem with the unclear vision is that many web videos are of very low resolution. When watched on a smartphone or small tablet they seem fine, but when enlarged to 40", they can get really grainy and pixellated.

According to the spec sheet for your TV (see attached link), the only video files it recognizes and plays are MPEG-4 (files with extension .mp4) or DivxHD (files with extension .divx). If your video files are not of these types, you can download a free video converter PC application to convert your files to the two types that your TV can play from the flash drive. mkv , wmv, avi, mov, and H.264 will only return a message "file not supported" if you grab "youtube downloader" free off the net, use the convert feature and select ipad video setting, and "quality as original" and convert the video files to mp4 buddy .....do a few...to test them, and connect your device to the Tv...they will work guaranteed .....then just spend a bit of time converting all your video files to mp4 video, ohhh you might want to delete origianal file after conversion as well after you tested a few converts....reason why is the converter actually clones the original file making a new copy of the file, you will still have th original file there and will be hard to identify which is which by looking at a thumbnail. So use the youtube downloader convert feature and do a convert buddy and your Tv will play em !

This tv will not play , wmv, avi, mov, mkv, or divx, the hitachi uses the xvid codec only, which means your video file types must be mp4, and not the h.264 mp4 either....but true mp4 video, if you have a connected usb drive full of movies, best bet is to download "youtube downloader" (free off the internet) install it to your PC, and use the convert feature to convert your movies to the ipad video mp4 setting, with the "same as original " quality ticked....and convert all your movie files to the xvid codec your tv wants, youtube downloader can convert anything, any filetype even flash. trust me this works 100% i know, i have the Tv, and i do know about codecs and scaling..and metadata....do this will be your best bet guys !!! happy viewing

video files are not being detected from usb...

- You need to have a software called USB Advance or USB Extreme(search the internet)
- Write this software using DVD Decrypter onto a blank CD-R.
- Insert the disc into the playstation 2.
- You should have a USB Pen drive ready, of capacity minimum 4 GB.
- Alongwith the USB Advance, you will get a software for your PC to convert the downloaded games into the games playable through USB.
- Open the software, browse for a game file, and convert it.
- Now insert the pen drive into your computer and copy the converted game files into the pen drive.
- Remove the pen drive from computer and insert it in your PS2.
- Boot your PS2 with the USB ADvance CD in it and now select the game and press the 'X' button to play!

you have to mention your exact model but according to Sansui, LCD TVs can play DivX and Mpeg4 format files

Usually pen drives supports files like .avi .mpg .jpg and etc. Be sure that pen containing media supported by the player. If files are not in that format you can use a video encoder to convert them to supported ones. You can use NTFS to play files in DVD player.
