I have a 60" LCD LED Samsung Tv and I am getting static noise/crackling noise that doesn't go away even with the sound off. The only way to get rid of it is to turn the tv off completely.

Using the volume control buttons on the television itself (not the remote) turn the volume all the way down to 0.
Using the volume controls on the Digital box itself.
Turn up the volume until it is at the maximum.
Using the television's volume controls again; raise the volume to a comfortable level.
If you are still experiencing the audio problems on this television, it is possible there is a loose connection on the television.

I have an 17" (2 in1) n Tru Tech LCD TV (with built in DVD player) The volume can not be adjusted, whether I is the remote or volume control on the TV. It goes to#15 and stays at that volume. What Can I...

I assume "#15" is the displayed volume setting on the screen when you try to adjust the volume. Is this the maximum? If so, perhaps the front panel volume up button is stuck on (not the remote control; nothing else on it would work if that were the case).

Another likely cause is the TV's microcontroller chip or memory chip that goes with it has a fault in its volume control address location.

You can check for a stuck button by comparing its feel with the volume down button when you press it. If it is stuck, the difference in action will probably be noticeable. If you can't tell any difference, the set needs internal repair.

Volume automatically goes to maximum on TCL TV

The volume (+) button on the TV is stuck or soiled if the volume automatically increases when the TV is turned on. To find out:
  1. Turn off the TV.
  2. Press and hold the volume (-) button on the TV then turn it on.
  3. If the volume doesn't automatically increase, you have a stuck button.
  4. If it does increase, you have a faulty key control board.
  5. In either case, you have to replace the key control board.
To find it out further:
Warning: Beware of electric shock. Please do not proceed if you do not have the skill to do the following.
  1. Unplug the TV.
  2. Let it stand for 15 minutes to allow voltages to drain completely to avoid the risk of electric shock.
  3. Remove the screws securing the TV's back cover and pull it off.
  4. Disconnect the cable that runs from the main board to the control key board.
  5. Turn the TV on using the remote.
  6. In this manner you can use the remote control to run the TV while waiting for the control key replacement board.
To do a hard reset of the TV, unplug it and let it sit for 2 hours or long enough to completely drain the internal voltages.

Volume won't turn down

Try the setup program. When you get to the main setup screen, look for a reset all to standard setting. That may solve the problem. If it doesn't then the sound module may need to be replaced inside the TV.

LG TV 32LB9D VOLUME STUCK AT 100, NO RESPONSE TO REMOTES

The fault may be on the control board. Sometimes the button switches can be stuck, or there may be something causing some conduction on the control circuit board. It is also possible to have a component failure that is causing a continuous command to keep the volume to the high position.

Something that causes failures of controls in TV sets is when people clean the screen, they spray liquid cleaner on the screen. Some of it drips down in to the controls and on to the circuit board. This will usually cause damage, and thus the set will require shop service.

Soyo Flat Screen TV Sound or Volume control is stuck

Hi deborah card, Lets first make sure your remote is not causing your problem, Look at the light (led) on the remote, is it lit and pulsing? If not you are having a problem with the control panel,  Have you recently cleaned your tv with a liquid? If so you will need to dry the panel with a hairdryer, unplug the power from the tv, put it on low heat and hold it about 6 inches from the panel for a few minutes. With the tv still unpluged press all buttons on the panel a few times then plug back in and try it.  Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution.   lone99star

Volume automatically goes to maximum

This sounds like there is a stuck button. With the TV off, try each of the panel buttons. You should feel the button engage. If not, that is the faulty one that should be replaced. Also, check to be sure that the plastic covering that extends to the actual switch inside the set is not broken causing a switch to be stuck on.
Keep us posted.
