You may occasionally get an error message that reads "This connection has limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the Internet or some network resources." It indicates that your PC is having a problem trying to access your network device to connect to the Internet. Very often, a bug that typically affects Windows XP Service Pack 2 causes this error message. This bug causes a loss of your network connectivity in workstations that use Microsoft's L2TP-based VPN (virtual private networking) client to connect to the NAT-based networks. You can fix the "Limited or No Connectivity" problem in a few steps. (If your connection works but you still get the error message, go to Section 2 to learn how to disable it.)
Review the following symptoms and determine if you experience any of them after you install the Windows XP Service Pack 2:
You get the error message "Limited or No Connectivity" when you attempt to connect to your network.
You have a problem connecting to your local area network or to the Internet. You keep on receiving an error message: "Acquiring IP Address" message. If you experience these symptoms after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2, then this bug is causing the problem. In this case, go to Step 2; otherwise, skip to Section 3 Download the Microsoft patch (KB884020) from the Microsoft website. Run this update to install it. Create a registry fix by launching Notepad and typing: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\IPSec] "AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule\"=dword:00000002 Save the file as FixReg.reg to your desktop. Double-click the saved file to install it into your registry. Restart your computer and the error message will likely be gone. If you still see the error message, follow the steps in Section 2. b> If Your Connection Works But You Still Get the Error Message b> Navigate to the "Start" button and select the "Control Panel." Double-click on the "Network Connections" icon. Right-click the "Local Area Connection" icon and select "Properties" from the popup menu. Click on the "General" tab. Uncheck the option that is labeled "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity." Click "OK." b> If the Patch Doesn't Fix the " Limited or No Connectivity" Problem b> Check your DSL router for any malfunctions. Re-configure or power cycle your router. Check your computer's network card configurations and network cabling to ensure that the problem does not lie here. Check your firewall to determine whether it is blocking you from connecting to the network or to the Internet. Disable the firewall and attempt connecting to the network or Internet while with the firewall is disabled. If the firewall is causing connection problems, then reset or uninstall and re-install the firewall. Reduce your connection speed to 10 Mbps and test this to determine if it fixes the problem. To do so, navigate to the "Start" menu and select the "Control Panel," "System" and "Device Manager." Review the properties of your network card. Click the "Advanced tab." Locate the "Link Speed and Duplex" section. Change the settings from "Auto Detect" to "10Mbps/Full Duplex." Hope this helps.
creating the network again would probably solve the issue with it because now you are changing up the hardware for the router. so you will have to set the permissons on the router and the permisons on the comuter to allow the connection to the printer the print share network.
looks to me you have the awnser to your own issue, if you list the router model and what operating system you are running I can give you a more indepth break down.
This is an unusual error. Error Code 1236 - The network connection was aborted by the local system.
There is no single issue that causes this error code, so we need to verify all of the networking basics are covered and working.
1. Verify the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway are fully entered and / or populated by the DHCP server. Click START, then RUN, type in CMD then click the OK button. Type IPCONFIG /ALL - verify the three fields all have valid info for your network.
2. Verify you can see the local network - including other computers and network devices. This will rule out the possibliity that this computer cannot see any network devices and not just the shared folders
3. Log the user out and have another user that can access the shared folders log into this comptuer and try to access the shares. The user profile could be corrupted and preventing the user from accessing the shared folders. IF the new user cannot access the shared folders, then it is the PC / OS causing the issue. IF they can access the shared folders, backup the original user's data, delete their profile and have them log in again to create a new profile.
It is always recommended to upgrade Windows XP to Service Pack 3 - unless you have a very specific program that will not run on SP3.
The message is from you wired network adapter not your wireless adapter.
Go to Network Connections and open the Properties of your wired Local Area Connection (LAN) adapter. Change the notification setting at the bottom of the window.
the resolution to the problem is that please try to uninstall the avira from a tool called revo uninstaller if you donot get a crack version please try revert on [email protected]
why i am asking you to uninstall avira because at time the firewall tries to capture, the dll look up of the network .if it doesnot work then you need to go ahead and uninstall and reinstall the network driver for your computer.

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
Change to "Obtain an IP address automatically".
After you have changed this, restart computer.
Check to see if your network connection is on:
Go to the Control Panel in your computer.
Go to Network Connections. If you cannot see Network Connections, go to Network and Internet Connections and then go to Network Connections from there.
If there is a red X through the Local Area Connection, or the Local Area Connection is grayed out, double-click on the X to enable.

Make sure your computer is clear of all viruses, spyware, and adware.
You should make sure that you have administrative previlges to do this.
Some programs may have prevented the network service from being disabled.
This can also be caused by a virus too. So you also install and run a
full system scan. Don't rely on a single antivirus. try different one
if one doesn't solve the problem.
Some worms prevent the networked systems to be controlled by users of the administrative groups.
also remember that most of today's networks are equipped and monitored
with network monotoring ultilities. some of these also acts as
firewalls too. This may prevent you from disabling the local area
connection.
If nothing works at all, just pull the network plug (RJ45). will
disable the network connection. this way the appliaction that is using
the connection is likely to display some error message. if this is a
freindly application change the configuration settings of this
application so that you could control the lan connections.
