My Magnavox TV #19PSC5 0121 won't show me the A/V signal from my DVD. I don't have the original remote and there is nothing on the front panel or on the Menu that will allow me to get to the ''Input'' so I can watch the singal through the RCA A/V jacks. Any ideas?

I have a Magnavox 15MF605T 17 that when the power button is pushed it goes green for a couple of seconds then turns amber. No picture, sound, etc. I unplugged the TV for about 10 minutes and when I...

Try to turn it on with a remote if one is available. If you don't have the original remote you can look up the universal code for the cable or satellite remote. Also try to turn it on with the input source(vcr, video game, cable box,etc...) on first. I have the same TV and if it has no signal prior to manual power up it will go to standby mode.

Do i need a remote to operate tv

once you have front panel in the tv and this one shows power channel +- volumen +- menu then your tv has to work with those ones and the remote is a second option to do the same. With this i mean you tv has to respond and at least show menu when you push that button " if no signal (cable DVD VCR) plug in"
Then if the tv is dead you should try to repair or sent it to repair. and then get the remote control and it can be universal too.

Lost remote

Buy an original remote or get a new DVD player. I would never suggest to my worst enemy the purchase of anything from Philips. The lack of support which you are experiencing is deliberate. Don't reward them with another sale.
