How to delete old address from favourites? I have Tomtom Go 510

I don't think there is an option to delete an address or your recent destinations. If you really want to delete an address, because nobody needs t know, the only option is to set back to factory options. But that will also deleet al your settings and favourites.
If you want to edit (and or delete favourites) there is a menu optie in Change preferences called Manage Favourites

If you want to hide your destinations, you could protect your device with a 4-digit password, but for that you must connect the device to a computer and use TomTom Home.
In the menu preferences choose Set Owner.

Favourites are places / addresses that you want to keep on file.

To add an address to your list of Favourites ...

From the Main Menu, tap Add Favourite.

You can then select the location of the Favourite from: an address (that you enter), your Home, or a recent destination, a point of interest, your current position/location, or a position that you tap on the map browser.

It depends on if you have them set as favourites, POI (Points of Interest) or recent locations?

If Favourites or POI, just go into the menu/settings, and delete from there, if recent detination, do a soft reset. If that fails, do a hard reset

You can actually re-enter the same address as many time as your device can physically hold in its flash memory.
My guess is that you are looking at your old 'saved' favorite: if you want to make absolutely certain about any 'new' favorites, I would suggest that you delete or rename the original one(s) first by using:
'Changes preferences' -> scroll right to 'Manage Favorites' -> scroll up/down to locate the favorite to be maintained and either 'Delete' or 'Rename'.

There are two ways

One is from the TOMTOM itself

Touch the map display once.
Select the spanner / wrench icon
Press the right arrow until you see MANAGE FAVOURITES.
Select the one you wish to delete and the display will change.
At the bottom of the screen will be a DELETE button use that.
It will ask for confirmation click YES.
Click DONE when you have finished.


Two is via TOMTOM home
Start TTH
Connect your GPS
Start the GPS
TTH will probably offer you updates (let it do its thing)
When the update is done use the right arrow on your PC display and select OPERATE My TOMTOM

Now use the same method as you did above.

To delete ALL recent destinations

Touch the map once
Touch NAVIGATE TO
Select RECENT DESTINATIONS
Now select DELETE
It will ask for confirmation select YES
they will all be deleted and the flag will grey out .
Touch BACK
Touch DONE.

As far as I am aware you can delete addresses but not just one address-you would need to clear all of your favourites. So if you have 20 addresses saved you will need to delete them all.
The only other method may be to add a lot more so that some of the older ones get deleted but it doesnt really solve your problem. I would just leave it personally-unless you want to remove all traces of where you have travelled.

If you mean delete addresses in favorite then

tap 'Manage favourites' to delete any favourite locations that are no longer needed. You can also rename them, if you wish. Use Arrow-head up and Arrow-head down to scroll up and down the list and pick the one you want to change or delete.

and i am not sure which TomTom Go you have (maps preloaded only go700 and go910 no memory card slot), you can download manual

go to tomtom website ----> support scroll down at the right hand side click Find downloads
