Hi,

It is the T-con board up the screen, or the screen itself. See a pro. Good luck,

Serge.

it would be easier to find it stripped from a damaged set on ebay.
I see several there but need the part number to search
of course you may purchase that and find it to be the lcd driver.hopefully not.

SOURCE: I have a Samsung Ln32A450c1d

Hi,
Basically it is problem of LCD Panel (screen) however some times T-Con board replacement fixed the issue (T-Con board is part of lcd panel but some part shop sell it separately). Main board is not related with this kind of problem.
Required T-Con board is available in ShopJimmy.com (click the link to view available boards)
If T-Con board replacement does not solve half screen vertical lines problem then LCD Panel will be replaced and it would cost approx new tv price.
Hope this info will help.
Thanks.

Had colored vertical lines on my Samsung LED TV. Have replaced the main board as well as power supply board. I now get a uniform blue screen with no other images. Any idea what the problem might be?

If you have replaced the main board and power supply board and are still getting a uniform blue screen on your Samsung LED TV, it could indicate one of the following issues:
  1. T-Con Board: The T-Con board, or Timing Control Board, is responsible for managing the flow of video data from the main board to the LCD panel. If the T-Con board is damaged or not functioning properly, it can result in a blue screen.
  2. Backlight Inverter: The backlight inverter is responsible for powering the backlight of the TV. If the backlight inverter is not working properly, it can result in a uniform blue screen.
  3. LCD Panel: The LCD panel could be damaged or have developed a problem, causing the uniform blue screen.
  4. Signal Cable: The cable connecting the main board to the T-Con board or the LCD panel could be damaged, causing a lack of signal and a blue screen.
It's best to consult with a professional repair technician or the manufacturer for further diagnosis and repair. They will be able to determine the exact cause of the issue and recommend the best course of action.

Backlight on no screen samsung un50h6203afxzc

The model(s) that use this T-con board have a history of LED panel failure. If this board does not fix the TV, it's likely that the TV has a bad panel/screen.

Anyone know what board/s I may need to fix my Samsung HP-S4253??? I'm getting horizontal lines. Other than that tv works and looks good.

Its a little hard to tell by the picture but aren't those vertical lines, going up and down?...if so replace the tcon board or try cleaning the LVDS and ribbon cables in and out of it and see if that helps first

Vertical white lines appear on the screen. Samsung provides the following information but doesn't say what circuitry they are referring to. Samsung says: DLP TV: I Have Vertical White Lines...

That answer I agree makes no sense.

Most of these sets have NO vertical hold and if did it will not cause the lines.

A brief educated guess:

Set has a main board that communicates and controls the screen--tests for that are not simple (checking waveforms with a scope and signal generator).

The model indicated here is a DLP that uses a lamp (let me know if model listed is not the one you have).

In DLP sets aside from main/digital board you also have a optical light engine---it processes all signal in and out to the screen.

Optical engines do fail and cause some simple and some complicated picture issues.

Some will even cause the set to "lock up" with a picture or strange looking screen---clue to this is you have to shut the set off by pulling the power cord.

The set may be old enough they do not really want to help you or even talk about it.

White vertical lines in picture

It's not connections. On that particular unit I would suspect the Digital board, Samsung p/n# Bp94-02084a or the Dmd board. Have you ever noticed the picture freeze?
In any event, sounds as though you're going in the right direction having a tech test it out, it gets highly complicated...
Not sure why he replaced the lamp - but maybe he found it was about to expire.
Good luck!
