Select menu, audio, output
note wether you can select external speakers.
you may be able to select headphones as an output.
also in audio make sure you select stereo if it lists that.
selecting output should disable internal speakers

SOURCE: no sound from daewoo 42" plasma

This particular model doesn't have internal speakers. It has two removable external speakers mounted on the left and right side of the tv. If you didn't get the external speakers with the tv, you won't have sound unless you use a surround sound setup.

Volume on tv is shut off

It may have been set in to mute mode, check it out through your remote. If you have done this and found that it is not, it may be on the cables.
Pull out all cable that is connected and pull it in again one by one and try to hear if sound is being restored.

Everytime I try to change the volume on my samsung it says "not available" in the middle of my screen. How should I fix this? Also I just had white spots on my tv and the technician came and...

Hello... Your TV speakers are turned off. If you don't have a sound bar or a surround sound system, go into the TV menu, audio, speaker settings and turn them on. If you have a sound bar or surround sound system, use the remote for that system to adjust the volume. I hope this helps!

The volume on our E67 series tv will not go past a certain level. how can i fix that?

It is true that you won't start to hear this television's volume increasing until the volume level passes 10. Then it gets louder until the volume level gets to 30 then between 30 and 60 it doesn't get any louder. This is the nature of this particular television. You can go into the audio category of the menu and increase the treble and the bass. Listen to the television with surround on and then off to see which one is louder. Connect the television to a sound bar.

After a television is a year or two old it may start to degrade naturally so you might benefit from being walked through an INIT. Call 877-332-7867 to be walked through one and the television may sound louder after it is complete.

No volume

Things to check,

1. are you using an external cable/satellite box.
if the answer is yes , verify if you have the audio out of the reciver connected to a surround sound system
If you do have it connected to a surround sound system , verify the surround sound systems volume is up and on the correct source input on the surround sound system

2. if you do not have a external cable/satellite box and and or your not using a surround sound system, and the cable line is connected directly to the television via a coax cable.. then verify that in the audio settings configuration of the telivision you have not accidentally disabled the internal speakers, some tvs have this option , please consult your manual.

Volume not working

Make sure you have patch cables hooked up from the audio out of the dvd player to audio IN of the Television, using the same named input (Video 1, 2, Fnt, Bck, Aux) that you used for the video in.
