First I would go check your circut breaker in your home.
remember a circut breaker may only move off a little. You need to turn breaker off then reset to power on.

Can someone tell me how to reattach , I don't know how to determine the positive from the negative..this is to a power chair charger

If this is the male end of United States common wiring for 110 volts A.C.,the black wire is hot and it connects to the smaller width spade lug. The white is neutral and it connects to the wider lug. If there is a green it would connect to the middle round one. If this is not the connection I am writing about, then please post the make and model number of the affected device.

I changed starter on 99 Montero sport and now wont do anything. When i had starter out I could hook power to it and worked fine but after installation car has no power. What's wrong????

Did you install starter with leads attached Tony? The starter might not be installed straight and properly seated. Take a look and I know you'll get it. Thank you and leave feedback. This same thing has happened to me my friend. Best wishes.

Replacing the Contactor on my Rudd AC model uaka-037jaz. I got a Dayton 2utl4 contator for a replacement. I need to know which wires connect to what location. I hooked it up with the 2 thermostat wires...

On this unit wiring is very basic, line in wires to the two lugs on the bottom, common as refered to is always black wire which goes to the compressor and the fan motor, red to adjacent lug of the contactor which then one goes to the capacitor and one to the compressor and one to the outdoor fan motor. One wire usually yellow from capacitor to start winding of compressor marked on the capacitor as herm, and a brown wire to the fan motor from the capacitor. The side connectors as you know go to the 24v control coil. The reason as to the fuse going out could be due to loose connections in the disconnect box or a short in the wiring at the compressor, fan motor or capacitor, and worst case a shorted compressor internally. Recommend having the system checked with the proper equipment to include an ohm meter with uf reading ability.

When I plug the television into the wall and turn it on, the televison is making a ticking sound. It is not making a connection to the on button neither on the remote nor the televison itself. What could...

The ticking sound is coming from the set's power supply, and it means that something is shorted. A shorted horizontal output transistor is a common cause, but many other things can cause the trouble as well. Without the proper tools and service skills, there's nothing you can do to fix this yourself. If you want to keep the set, call a professional to come to you or take it to a shop. They'll be able to diagnose the cause and give you an estimate for repair, and then you can decide whether to fix this or start shopping for a new TV.

No display, beeps

Hello there vinod_kundap.

Here's your geek-steer ...

Those beeps you hear is your BIOS alerting you about trouble encountered during the bootup's Power-On Self Test (POST) in the only language she knows ... beeps!

Your motherboard uses Award BIOS, and the only POST result that comprises three beeps is "1 long, 2 short" which indicate:

"Video adapter error: Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly."
  • The "video adapter" is the physical device (aka card).
  • "not seated properly" means the card/cable connection(s) are not fully connected tightly.
Of course, this might not be the trouble at all. It is very common for POST failure indicators to be wrong, it's just the best the poor stupid little glob of circuits can do. But it's probably all you have for now, unless you're aware of any other clues not covered in your question.

Troubleshooting actions based on this result would require opening PC case and physically inspecting all connections, and if still troubled, swapping out the video card with a "known good", or taking it out an installing into a "known good" PC, then let simple deduction determine.

Good luck, and please do post back ...
  • to let me (and interested others) know how things worked out,
  • to provide clarification or feedback,
  • if you have ANY further questions.

Whistling

Hi, A couple of possible cause: 1. alternator whine - installing a filter (capacitor/inductor) in series with the B+ line to all the electronics units; 2. grounding - possibly insufficient grounding considering that you gave different brands and are interconnected; check/improve grounding, It is also helpful to install a unit chassis mounted grounding to all the units going to a common ground lug; 3. audio line level input wire too close to a B+ line - move further apart or improve shielding of signal wire; 4. loose battery connection - (although unlikely) worth to check; 5. power on line (sometimes color yellow sometimes blue) - needs filtering (a possibility only but worth to check by connecting to mains B+ instead of via ignition switch. of course this will defeat ignition switch activation of unit) A reminder, pls make sure your voltages match up chances are your electronic units are 12 volts and your truck (big truck?) might be, just might be 24. It is another issue when your truck is 24 and your units are 12, If so check your 24 to 12 DC to DC converter. Hope this gives you some idea and work out for you. pls post again how things turn up. Good luck and kind regards.
