Hello there
vinod_kundap.
Here's your geek-steer ...
Those beeps you hear is your
BIOS alerting you about trouble encountered during the bootup's
Power-On Self Test (POST) in the only language she knows ... beeps!
Your motherboard uses
Award BIOS, and the only POST result that comprises three beeps is "1 long, 2 short" which indicate:
"Video adapter error: Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly."
- The "video adapter" is the physical device (aka card).
- "not seated properly" means the card/cable connection(s) are not fully connected tightly.
Of course, this might not be the trouble at all. It is very common for POST failure indicators to be wrong, it's just the best the poor stupid little glob of circuits can do. But it's probably all you have for now, unless you're aware of any other clues not covered in your question.
Troubleshooting actions based on this result would require opening PC case and physically inspecting all connections, and if still troubled, swapping out the video card with a "known good", or taking it out an installing into a "known good" PC, then let simple deduction determine.
Good luck, and please do post back ...
- to let me (and interested others) know how things worked out,
- to provide clarification or feedback,
- if you have ANY further questions.
Today's the best day of my life ... and NOW you're part of it!
