oL is an Overload error. Try running a cycle empty.
If oL (overloaded) appears in display, the load too large. If an overload is detected, the washer will drain any water and detergent in the washer. Remove several items and add HE detergent. Close lid and press START/PAUSE.
small motor on the back of the switch is week or there is an obstruction on the switch dial if yours is digital the relay on the board id week usually the plastic relay casing is deformen slightly restricting the relay function tap it gently
Hi jbrundage1. I believe you have a UL error code on the washer. It means that the sensors in the washer are sensing the unit is unbalanced. When the washer is empty, set it to a spin or rinse and spin setting. Run the washer through the cycle empty, as it will help to remove any excess water in the tub. Also, make sure the washer is level, as it is balanced on springs, and that could be throwing the sensors off. I hope these suggestions prove helpful. Sincerely, Melanie, Maytag Social Media Representative.
Hi Randall: If your the error reads OL, it's "overloaded" and you need to remove some items to delete this problem.
Definitivelly, this flashes when the machine or motor control detects a load size that exceeds
the washer's capacity. To clear the error open the door lid and restart
the cycle by removing excess laundry. If error doesn't clears then
unplug the washer for 5 at 10 minutes and check.
Hi Thanks
for using FixYa. oL flashes when the
machine/motor control detects a load size that exceeds the washer’s capacity. Open
the door lids to clear display, remove excess laundry, then restart the cycle. Please
do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance. Thanks Rylee
This kind of problem is usually when the final spin is overloaded and the overload sensor stops the spinning. But, this can also happen during the spinning at end of wash cycle. Does this shut-down occur every time? If not, then it is your load that is too much. If it happens every time, then it is most likely the overload sensor. The electronic timer could be the problem (they are more flukey than the mechanical timers) but usually you will not see OL if the timer itself is at fault. Good luck, Macgivor.
• Water supply is not adequate in area. • Water supply taps are not completely open. • Water inlet hose is bent. • The filter of the inlet hose clogged.
Solution: Check another tap in the house. Fully open tap. Straighten hose. Check the filter of the inlet hose.
UE: • Load is too small. • Load is out of balance. • The appliance has an imbalance detection and correction system. If individual heavy articles are loaded (bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the imbalance is too great, after several attempts to restart the spin cycle the machine will stop and the error code will be displayed.
Solution: Add 1 or 2 similar items to help balance the load. Rearrange load to allow proper spinning. UE:
