CH 5 on these units indicates a communications error between the indoor and outdoor units. Generally, it will require a replacement outdoor board assembly to repair it. Lookup LG parts on the internet or ring them for your nearest Agent or parts. 800 243-0000

SOURCE: Hi. I have a LG

Hi, this error is a communication error between your indoor and outdoor unit, check all wiring and connections - ch 5 is a communication error between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. You can try turning the breaker off for a few minutes and restart the unit. However if that does not work its best suggested to have an authorized HVAC technician service the unit.

TV will not turn on. There are two lights in front at the bottom of the screen - One is the power light, one is the OPC light. When the power cord is plugged in, both lights flash twice, then the OPC light...

Sounds like your screen is broken or has been impacted. Force the television on by doing this: Unplug it and on the side of the television where the panel buttons are hold down the ch- and vol+ buttons. Then plug in the television while still holding them down. The television should come on and you see the cracks. Unfortunately it can't be repaired.

If it isn't ch- and vol + then try ch + and vol -.

Hi; Try turning it off for 10 min. Then turn on and remember codes. Error Code CH 01

I have a Comfortaire BHD501 dehumidifier. A couple weeks ago I noticed ice building up on top of the unit,so I unplugged it to defrost. I plugged it back in and it worked until I noticed the "CH" "01" code. It would run a few seconds then shut off with that code showing. I took off the front of the unit and noticed rust on some of the metal parts. Then I took the cover off the circuit board for the front read out. I noticed corrosion on some of the solder points. When I looked closer at the plastic cover for the circuit board I noticed a small burn mark. The water from the melting ice must have run behind the cover and shorted out the circuitboard. At this point I don't know if new boards are available.

Power on

Depends on how many times it flashes RED.
On the units with fans (usually the HD models) a 6 blink flash code indicates improper fan rotation and the unit will shut down.

These blinks are counted as they go DARK, not as they light up.

Remove the rear panel but do not clean out the dust from the fans until you see which has the improper rotation.

Cleaning may help once you find the baddie, if not they will need to be replaced.
