My kindle fire serial number G000H404 5423 08SF opens but when I ask it to go to either a book a game e mails or facebook it will not open the program

Book Won't Open on Kindle (5th Generation) If your book won't open on your Kindle (5th Generation), or there's an error when you try to open a book, try these troubleshooting steps. Make sure your device is connected to a wireless network.

Check the Serial Number You can find this sixteen digit code in the box your Kindle came in or when you click on Settings and go to Device Info. Find your specific generation or type based on the first four characters. Go to Amazon an open Manage My Kindle. There tou will see the books an games etc you have ordered. There will be a box to check off to where you want books delivered. You can have them sent to your Kindle or laptop with Kindle reader, iPad etc. very easy just sign nto Amazon.

Borrow from a Friend You can borrow a Kindle book from a friend. When the book is available, you will receive an e-mail notification that will allow you to download the book to your Fire tablet, Kindle device, or Kindle reading app.

To download your borrowed book:

1. Open the e-mail message "A Loaned Book for You."
2. Click the Get your loaned book now button. Your web browser will automatically launch to Amazon so you can accept the loan.
3. Sign in to your Amazon account.
   • If you have a Fire tablet, Kindle device, or Kindle reading app, select which device you would like the book to be delivered to, and then click Accept loaned book.
   • If you do not have a Fire tablet, Kindle device, or Kindle reading app, click Accept loaned book and follow the on-screen instructions to download a free Kindle reading app.

Hook your kindle fire to your computer. When the auto play window appears click on "view files". When your kindle hard drive files appear then look for the books file on your kindle. Click on the books folder then copy and paste them on your desktop then unplug your kindle. Plug your wife's kindle in then do the same to open her books folder then copy and paste the books from your desktop into her book folder.

If you purchased the book from the Amazon store, it will still be in the Cloud.
Go to Books and there should be two buttons under the clock that say Cloud and Device. Click on Cloud and your deleted book should be there.
Simply re-download it at no extra cost.

If it is a FIRE then it may have an app like MAIL running in the back ground. Turn off all apps. It's a tablet, it will only last a few hours.
The eReaders last for weeks, the Tablets last for hours.

If it's an eReader then on the home page search for jfhjfhj - if it says 4 books not indexed then you have 4 books corrupted, go DOWN and delete those 4 books from the kindle and redownload them.
