Some models of fridge should be kept upright, or, if laid down then should be allowed to stand upright for at least 6 hrs before being switched on.

Why does my freezer keep freezing up then leak all over the floor

Hallo

1:Check your door seals(damage door seals causes fridge to suck humidity into the fridge causing it to ice up to much and then the pan type humidifier at the back of the bottom of the fridge can evaporate the water fast enough causing an over flow).
2:If door seals aren't damage I would say at this moment its cold where you live and it would also cause high humidity and there for your thermostat should be set to min:2 and max:3 your choice and try to prevent opening the door to much or keeping it open for 2 long.
3:Ievel the fridge ensure that its level.
4:If the problem still occur let me know.

Floor underneath fridge is always wet - can't see source of water. Could it be plastic tray cracked or something?

There is probably a blockage in the drain over the pan. The accumulated condensation backs up and falls out wherever. Look for the leads to the drain and make sure they are clear, and unbroken. This may involve lying the the fridge on its side.

However check out the pan for cracks first.

I moved and had to lie down my fridge side by side will that be a problem? I didnt plug it yet.

Not really a good move but sometimes lying it down cant be helped. Typically when lying it down, the oil in the compressor migrates into the system. You need to allow fridge to stand for about 3 hours before switching back on to allow as much oil back into the compressor bowl as possible
If after an hour, and the compartments are not cold enough, then switch off and call a technician.

Water leak

A number of fridges deal with condensate by feeding it down to a tray on top of the motor where it evaporates due to the heat from the motor , by pulling the fridge out you should be able to see if this is the case , if so has your tray rusted away and is leaking straight to the floor

Or

The insulation on the fridge shell may have broken down causing ice to form between the outer shell the filler and the inner lining.

This will condensate and will run down onto the floor.

Water leaking from freezer into fridge

there are several things to check for. The condensing defrost tray under the fridge can crack or develop a hole and leak onto the floor. A door gasket not closing properly may cause sweating and leak onto the floor. Some fridge's have a humidity switch inside the fridge that should be turned on to prevent sweating on the center bar between the fridge and freezer section. If your fridge has developed a frost free failure problem, often the frost will travel down the suction line at the back of the fridge and drip water on the floor. The heat exchangertubing can separate and also sweat and drip on the floor. A kit to repair a separated heat exchanger line, comes with instructions as well. Ice maker and chilled water fill lines can crack and leak as well, this is fairly common with the plastic lines as they can dry out and crack.

Samsung Fridge Freezer leaking water

hi August.
Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.
3 common refrigerator problems you can easily fix yourself

The freezer drain hose will drain the defrost water into a drip pan at the bottom of the freezer. When this pan becomes full, it will leak water onto the floor. This is a regular maintenance task whenever the freezer defrosts. Empty the drip pan during the defrost cycle.
How to Fix Water Leaking From the Bottom of Freezer

Why is my fridge leaking water on the floor? If the refrigerator is leaking water it's possible that the refrigerator has a clogged or freezing defrost drain. If the defrost drain freezes the defrost water will overflow the drain and drip down to the bottom of the compartment, If enough water accumulates in the bottom it can run out onto the floor.

DEFROSTING/ WATER RUNNING ONTO FLOOR & INSIDE FRIDGE

Check to see if the run-off tube at the back is plugged.

I dont know how old the fridge is - but if it a couple years old check at the back or the fridge - there should be a tube running down the back of the fridge down into the bottom tray. This tube funnels water from the freezer (condensation, or water from the defrost) down onto the tray holding the compressor where it evaporates with help from the heat off the compressor. Sometimes this tube can get plugged up with some scum or mineral deposits, causing the built up water to drain from inside the fridge.

The tube shouldn't be too hard to remove and clean out with some hot water and pipe cleaners. Had the same issue on on a GE fridge last year.
Hope this helps!

Refrigerator slides on floor causing door to bind

there should be some adjustable feet in the front that you can tighten down so that the wheels get pushed off the floor. causing the fridge not to move. if that is already tightened down another idea is to find out the distance from the back wall and get a piece of wood that length and just set it back to prevent the fridge from moving back. hope that helps
