My HP C7280 Photosmart all in one printer has a print que that I have been trying to cancel, but it will not go away. I am now unable to print any other documents.

The print que doesn't come from the printer. I have the same printer. You have to go into the printer software and cancel all the documents waiting to be printed. If worse comes to worse uninstall and reinstall the printer.
Windows. Start>Settings>Printers and Faxes>Select printer>Open>Click on Documents>Cancel all documents if there are any waiting to be printed. It takes a long time to cancel documents so be patient and then restart your computer. I still have XP. Other Windows might be a bit different b.

SOURCE: document locked in que

Solution #1 Have you tried to power off the computer itself? The document is most likely locked in the PC not the printer. Unplug the printer's power, power down the computer, wait a minute or so then restart the computer. Once the machine has loaded check the print queue to verify the document is no longer there, if so you can plug the printer back in and the issue should be resolved.

Solution #2
From the Start menu, select Control Panel. Then follow this path:
Administrative Tools > Services > Print Spooler
Once at the Print Spooler, right click on it. Select Stop. Leave this window open. Turn off your printer.
At the open Print Spooler window, right click on the Print Spooler, and select Start.
Go to the Start menu, and select Printers & Faxes. Find the printer you are having problems with and double click on it. From the menu, select Printer, then select Cancel All Documents. The documents should clear.
Turn on your printer. You sould now be able to print.

Experiencing a problem with an HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-one printer, after the yellow ink cartridge was replaced a 'change the cartridge' screen comes up when trying to print, even though the printer...

Try holding down the ok -- cancel -- black -- color buttons with 4 fingers while at the same time powering the unit off. Keep them held down till it is off. Then turn it back on normally & it should try to do "Maintenance" & you hear a whirling noise --- that is the ink pump spinning to try & pump in ink to the print head.
You may also try this: Press and hold the '*' key on the key pad, then press the '#' key and release them both. Then enter '123' to enter maintenance mode. Then press the right arrow (beside the OK button) until System Config. menu appeared on panel. Then press OK two times to clear the error condition, then cancel two or three times to return to the top menu. Then power it off and back on.

Trying to print an photographic e-mail,

Unplug printer, uninstall HP printer software, restart, reinstall software, when it asks-plug back in and turn printer back on. If it will print other pictures, the problem may be the location of what you are trying to print(try saving as jpg to desktop and try from there). Firewall and anti-virus programs can cause problems too, you can check for known compatibility issues at hp support.
Usually the un & re install will fix it.

Unable to add a functioning (second) printer, for greyscale.

Clicked on Start/Control Panel/PrinterI. Clicked Add a printer. Obtained (Copy 1) of my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one printer. Right clicked on (Copy 1)/properties. Opened Ports tab. Saw comment "Print to the following Ports. Documents will print to the first free checked port." A listed USB Virtual printer port, showed three printers -- my first printer, my copy 1 (& my fax printer) -- was unchecked. I placed a checkmark in this Port box. Both the original printer, and my copy 1 printer are printing just fine. *I have not checked to verify that my fax is functional.
I did rename the original "color". I renamed Copy 1 as "grayscale", and --under printer preferences, checked, under "color options", to print in greyscale.
