Ascard ars-2032 ld not coping dvds

Hi,
Laser problem.
will either be a dual laser, 1 of which is not working.
Or the laser is not powering up enough to burn the DVD Layer.
Try using a laser head cleaning CD.

DVD burners are as cheap as chips now, you can always keep this one as a reader.

If the notebook is preinstalled with Vista you can do windows native burning (With out any software) CD and DVD disks, where as XP has only CD native burning. in order to do this just right click on the folder what u want to and select send to CD/DVD drive option. hpoe this could resolve the issue.
