The lines are bluish in color and appear to be transparent which are on top of the images. At first, the lines are not noticeable then they started appearing more. Could this be a bad lcd or a tcon board? Been doing research on google but still can't confirm if it's just a board or the panel.

The resolution on this was to check the surge protector the television was plugged into. Once we unplugged and plugged into another surge protector, the screen went back to normal and the appearance was great. We believe this was due to one of the resistors within the surge protector may have become faulty.

Hi,
It could be 1 of 4 things:
1. One of the ribbon cables has worked itself loose (Simple Fix)
2. One of the assembly boards maybe faulty
3. The driver board which feeds the panel maybe faulty
4. The panel is faulty
The driver board in the UK costs approx £70 and approx £35-70 to fit it if this is the fault.
All other parts are between £80-160 and approx £35-70 to fit it if this is the fault.
The panel will cost approx 50-75% of what the TV was worth when you bought it - "Repair versus Replacement"
Thanks

Sounds like a possible T-con board failure. Which would need to be done by experienced tv repairman

I have this exact same problem on my same model TV. It started just before Christmas. Have you been able to find any resolution?
SOURCE: I have a sony Bravia KDL-52W3000 LCD tv. Approx.
I have the same tv with the same problem. My tv is about 3 1/2 years old. I took it to the shop yesterday and today they told me that I had a bad lcd panel and a bad FL1 circuit board. They also told me it was going to be $3800.00 dollars to fix. I am now on my way to buy another tv, needless to say it will not be a Sony. Sony knows about this problem and refuse to do anything about it. Good luck.
