How to get rid of Trojan virus, Microsoft keeps trying to sell me$199 package to protect my computer

Norton 360 ....avast is another good choice and can be safely downloaded from cnet.com .......the 30day trial should clean your system....

lsass.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.
Do the following to get rid of the trojan

To remove a virus,trojan,worm,etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download,install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans,worms,etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!

Sounds like you have a virus or maybe a trojan/worm/etc. on your computer.
Go to the following website, download, install and run Microsoft Safety Scanner.
After you have it installed the run the program, it may take quite a while to complete depending on how many files you have on your computer.
Once you have it installed you will run Microsoft Safety Scanner.
It will remove the virus/trojan/worm,etc from your machine for FREE.
If it does not get rid of the virus/trojan/worm/etc then a window will open and allow you to contact a Microsoft professional (FREE) and he will take over your machine (with your permission) and remove it for you for FREE.

1.If you are able to go online then download malwarebytes and scan the computer...2.Then use any anitvirus program to protect the comp in future.... 3.Make sure you don't download or click on any malicious link or website...

Try this little gem, Malwarebytes, this is the best that I have found, and it is what I use. I have never had any false positves or any other problem with it at all. It is really a great program that I recommend to anyone who needs to get rid of malware.

If you need anti-virus protection as well I would try this one, AVG-Free, it is the best one that I have found. If you do have any anti-virus program you should get rid of it before you install AVG or any other anti-virus prtogram, especially if it was not protecting you system very well, and you only need to have one good anti-virus program running on your computer.

I would also suggest installig Spywareblaster, it does not scan for malware or viruses, but it does block you from connecting to some really malicious web sites.

This issue can occur if your computer is infected with a SubSeven Trojan virus (per, Microsoft).

Run a virus scan and rid of all viruses, malware, etc.

If you have a free antivirus, remove it and install a free trial of Kaspersky. This will rid the virus. You can then uninstall Kasperky and install the free one after removal of trojan.

You should have an antivirus program always running on your computer. If you have one it should be able to get rid of the virus. If you don't have one or you have one but it can't get rid of the virus, try AVAST. It is free at http://www.avast.com. Once you install avast, it will want to run a sweep before your computer restarts. That is the best way to get rid of a virus, before the virus is activated.

your issue is very likely to be caused by the trojan virus. If you have avast antivirus or have someone that can download it for you then you should be able to get rid of the trojan and resolve the issue with your IE7.
