I have a rock ola 1493 Princess. The "select" light is on however when any button is pressed it makes no sound and will not stay depressed.
It would be helpful if you could direct me to a place that would sell the paint color[pinkish}of the player arm ect..I tried cleaning the relays in the "freeplay" electrical box, manually engaging the coil under the buttons, cleaning the contacts the coil engages...no change. Selecting " Scan " ,everything works fine except the buttons. Thank you in advance.. I ordered a manual from the company that bought rock ola stock out.

I would put money on the belt snapping. 5 years is about right. Especially if you do not use it often. The slow down and hesitate is even more indication of a belt getting hard and then slipping and snapping. They need to keep moving to stay soft. Get a new belt and you will be likely good to go.
Contact the folks at www.victoryglass.com and tell them the make and model of your jukebox. They will have the manual set for around $50. Also, they bought out the entire Rockola factory parts inventory. So if by chance you needed Rockola parts, they would have it.
They are probably made like the old Christmas tree bubble lights. These had a solution, I think it might have been calcium chloride and they were heated at the bottom end of the tube by an incandescent lamp that ran pretty hot. The lamps in your unit might be burnt out. I remember we had to tap the tubes lightly to get them to start bubbling sometimes.
