SOURCE: the drain/spin cycle always adds water
It's normal if it just adds a little bit of water. It does this so your drain pump impeller doesn't run dry which could damage it. If it's filling right up, there could be a malfunction with the control board, the pressure switch or the inlet valve .
You could try shutting off the water supply at the taps before you start the drain/spin cycle.
Good luck!
SOURCE: washing machine won't spin and drain
the drain pump is not working,after wash cycle the washer should drain the used water,if it does not function-all the next cycle will not commence.
SOURCE: my machine wont drain the water or go to the spin
Drain Vlve command no activated. Or The valve is faulty. Check wiring also.
SOURCE: My washing machine will not spin or drain,only fill up with water
Couple things could be happening;
Scenario 1: Your motor is dead, or the electrical connections leading to it are chewed up and no longer send electricity to the motor. If you have a voltage tester, you should see if you are getting power to it.
Scenario 2: The safety switch that stops the motor from spinning when the lid is open is compromised.. This is possible, but less likely, as the motor would still spin in agitate mode..
Good luck!
SOURCE: washer does not completely drain to allow for spin
The most common cause for standing water in a washer is a clogged drain pump. Another possibility is a kink or clogged drain tube. Below is a youtube video with instructions on removing a drain pump on most front load washers including your Frigidaire model. Best of luck and thank you for using Fixya!
