All of a sudden this morning my Epson Artisan keeps restarting. It starts up and goes through the warm up process and restarts. Unless I turn it off it will do this forever. UPDATE: After connecting to the network with a cable, I turned off Wi-Fi on the printer the next time it started up. You will only have a small window where the navigations work so go to the "Disable Wi-Fi" screen and it will tell you "Starting up. Please wait." Just keep pushing the Disable Wi-Fi Button until it asks "Are you sure you want to disable wi-Fi." Then say yes, and your problem is fixed. I am going to look into my router's firmware and see if there is an update that just happened because until this morning, this has been on 24/7/365 and not one problem. I will also check Epson"s site to see if there are updates but there hasn't been any for years, but I will check to be sure. If any of that fixes the issue, I will update this post for the benefit of the rest of you with this printer or any wi-fi enabled printer for that matter. I doubt that the Wi-Fi capability, software, drivers, etc are Epson's anyway. Thank God this is fixed. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and remember that Christmas starts with Christ!!!
I've seen this on HP printers, try to delete any prnt jobs then restart the printer
Testimonial: "There are no print jobs. I have restarted the router, waited for it to come back up completely then plugged the printer back in. It has been working for a long time without an issue until this. I called Epson and waited for 2 minutes for someone to answer. The guy asked me to turn off the router again which I forgot disconnects my VOIP phone. They have my number but of course they don't call back. That would be Customer Service. I can't find anything googling it either. I have disconnected everything and lifted the scanner and put it. Back down, replaced $90 worth of ink cartridges and it still does the same thing. Thanks for trying though."
That was supposed to be 28 minutes on hold. Also, the printer had been unplugged for over an hour while I went to the start and got $90 worth of ink. The print job cache would have been cleared by that alone. I have 30 + years working in IT, so I have a little knowledge. Thanks again for trying to help.
Spell checker keeps changing words after I press the button to submit my comment. It should be store and not start. Sorry folks for the unreadable sentences.
