FL Studio doesnt open.

Open Device Manager, Uninstall the Graphic Card and driver, reboot the machine, allow Windows 7 to apply the generic driver, Open Windows Updates and run. OR, open Device Manager, display adapter, update Graphics adapter. OR, Use the eMachine windows vista 64 bit drivers. Download the Windows Vista 64bit driver and Save , open Properties, change compatibility to Windows 7. As for your problem Toshiba is not did not bother creating a Windows XP compatible drivers for the Model L500-018 as it is their high end Notebook for the year 2007 and discontinued it on 2009. what you can is to upgrade from Windows Vista Home to Vista Premium for more functionality and XP compatibility or upgrade to much better Windows 7 as the Vista drivers are accepted by windows 7 OS.

You should be in pretty good shape if you run and install all of these programs.

Let it start in safe mode, Once it boots up click Start/Programs/ and look for the RUN prompt. It might be under the Accessories folder. Once you get RUN to open type msconfig and press OK.

When the System Configuration window opens Click on the "Boot.ini" tab at the top and make sure the /SAFEBOOT option is not selected. If it is, remove the check mark then hit OK. Reboot and see if it goes to normal.

It would probably not install, you may want to try the vista drivers for your laptop though. 9 times out of 10 they will work on whatever windows does not automatically install.Go in to device manager and see what devices are not install, and just go after those.
click on the START ORB - RIGHT CLICK ON COMPUTER - GO TO PROPERTIES - CLICK ON DEVICE MANAGER.
anything not installed will have a exclamation point, just focus on that.

and wipe your disk clean (Warning...this process will make you lose all data on disk so be careful, if posible backup all critical data that you need)
once done install WinXP SP3(get a Windows XP cd from a friend or download a pirated copy from net) look for "WinXP SP3 piratebay" in google

when installing WinXP make more than 2 partitions (C, D, E)
Install WinXP in C
once done, let Windows boot and show Desktop
install WinVista or Win7 in D
use E for saving your critical data

Is this a clean install or an upgrade?Sounds like a upgrade.

You may need to format or wipe your hard drive clean,then try to install.

Try to boot from the vista disc and choose the clean install method.

Remember you will loose everything on your laptop doing this kind of install.

The faster your CPU the more channels you will be able to run simultaneously and/or the more effects you will be able to use. The more memory you have the larger the samples you will be able to load.
