Kenmore series 80 washer only works right on hevy duty load

hum either a bad timer sticking the point contacts close. have u tried this in all cycles? and possibly a motor with bad windings not enough power to run agitation? try running in mild or gentle and see what happens? I was tempted to say the cam dogs in agitator but they dont work then stop then work, when they go out they go out.

Yours is a 2 speed motor. Does it spin in 2 different speeds. If so, then it most likely is designed with only to agitate in 1 speed. If it only spins in one speed, then your motor is defective

Hello, Your problem is going to be with your lid switch, this is located normally either in the control panel or about half way down on the right side under the lid. This is a safety feature to stop you opening the lid while the machine is in a high spin. Once you have located the switch trace the wires back to the wire harness in the control panel. Disconnect the lid switch from the wire harness and with an ohms meter check for condinuity on pin 1 & 3 (the 2 outside pins not the middle this is a ground) You should find you have no condinuity and should replace this switch. bad transmission,,check voltage...below 110 with load and water pressure switch or hose defective..

does it agitate?check your coupler.

that machine have somes burn contacts on the timer replace with a new one and that is...good luck
