Hello: Fault detected malfunction code 1 for your model states
"Water not entering or not detected". Check inlet tap, cold inlet valve, pressure switch. Sounds like you said water is going in and has good flow, but may not be "detected". Could be a sensing problem like pressure switch.

We had the same problem on a Premier 500 and solved it by tilting the machine forward. Some more water ran out and the lights went off.

Hay Crab.
what I have found is that the washer thinks it is not pumping out .. if your drain pump is clearly removing the all the water in a good time... then the problem is your pressure switch...it is telling the computer that it still has water in the machine...

replace the pressure switch and it will solve your f21 error.

It is a round unit on the right hand side on top...with a tube and wires going to it...let me know if it helps

SOURCE: Whirlpool 6th sense awm8163 programes never stops now cannot get it to work at all

The pump is at the lower left of the front of the machine covered by a white plate. Use a bowl to catch any remaining water when opening the screw thread inside and then clean and replace. If it is truely beyond repair then a new filter pump can be bought from ebay for £3 or thereabouts.

I have just drained mine manually in this way and am going to run it empty with soda crystals to glean a few more days use whilst the new pump arrives.

Good luck :)

SOURCE: Bosch WFF1800 - not spinning

HI,

move the kicking plate on the front-bottom of the machine. You will see o circular lid there, turn it on anti-clockvise to open. All of the water blocked will come from there, be careful. Look carefully that there are some objects blocking the water draining. Then turn on the machine on draining programme, the plastic rotor should turn fastly when the machine is on. If it is not running, change the pump motor. If it is running, but machine is not draining again you can understand that there is an objeck stuck on the hose between drum and pump motor. Lay down the machine on its rear facade, you will see a large and black hose between drum and pump motor. When you remove it, you will see that there is something that blocks water running.

SOURCE: miele W1712 washing machine drain fault

Just had the same problem, after Much patience and persistence I found the blockage at the y piece that joins the pump to the outlet hose air trap towards the top of the machine LHS with the top and cover off.

It was clogged solid therefore no back pressure on the top little ball valve (between the air trap and the outlet) therefore no seal therefore norain therefore a drain-fault that persists regardless of a cleaned pump filter.

Run the dishwasher through a test mode

Test Mode

Make sure the appliance is empty of water before running Diagnostics as it does not pump out before starting to fill and therefore you could overfill the appliance.
Open the door and set the program to the first program. (Normally rinse).
Turn the power off.
Press and hold the start button and while holding turn the power on.
After a little while the start button will flash, release the button.
Press the start button once and close the dishwasher door.
The machine will now run through a diagnostic routine.
Should take about 20 mins.
The machine will stop during diagnostics if an error is found and will display the error code. If no error is found it will complete the diagnostics and end the programme.

To exit diagnostics at any time just press and hold the start button till the programme is cancelled

Whirlpool washing machine AWM 5100 has stopped going thru the full cycle.

My machine did a similar thing and in my case, it was debris in the filter. It took several clear-outs before the object appeared.

The wash cycle is taking a lot longer to do, for example the 30 min wash is taking 1 hour and sometimes longer, the motor seems fine, could it have something to do with the pump

Hi.

When the cycle hangs it means that because of a fault the conditions to advance are not met.

If the washer hangs at start (filling), then there is either a problem with water pressure, blocked inlet, or water flowing back from drain hose because of incorrect hose settings (called siphoning).

If machine hangs mid cycle, then it is often a temperature related problem. Check thermostat and element or check hot inlet and thermostat if dual inlet. Testing requires disassembling and use of the multimeter.

If machine hangs mid cycle or end of the cycle (before spin), then it can be drain system. Check drain hose, drain filter attached to pump and check the pressure switch.

Most machines have a service sheet hidden inside the control panel assembly. The tech sheets shows how to run a diagnostic cycle that will tell where the problem is.

Most common faults resulting in long cycle are heat-related and drain problems.

Try cleaning your inlet valve filters. Turn off your water supply and remove the hoses from the washer. The filter screens are located just inside of the valves. Just twist them out, clean, and reinstall.

The3 problem is more likely to be in the pump itself. No diagnostic except what you have jsut described. Open the outside covers and access the hose to and from the pump. More liokely on the inlet side and check the hose and the pump entry hole.
