SOURCE: LED Display is very dim

Unfortunately this is a bad display, and the kit to fix it (comes with new display board and power/relay board) is about $270 for the parts, and if you cant put it in yourself expect to pay an additional $120-$220 depending on rates in your area. Wish I had better news, but I see these (and Dacors) do this frequently. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Oven digital lighted display is dim

I replaced the C3 capacitor on the circuit board and works fine. This was mentioned in a prior post and took 5 minutes and was under $5.00 for the part.

SOURCE: Display on my Jenn-Air electric wall oven is very dim

douglas9101,
I had the same problem and found the solution on-line.
Replace the C3 capacitor on the dispaly module. (100 UF, 35 volt, high temperature)
The local Jenn Air dealer wanted $211 for a new display module.
I purchased a Cap from a local electronics supply store for 79cents.
The only problem is that you need to have a soldering pencil/iron, a solder ******/wick and a small amount of solder.

Steps I had to take on my oven:
- Flip the AC breaker supplying the oven to off to be save
- remove 3 screws on top and 4 on the bottom of the display panel
- gently pull out the display panel and unplug the 2 cables to the display
- unclip the ribbon cable to the display module
- unclip the module itself by pushing on the 2 black tabs
- locate C3
- unsolder C3 and replace with new Cap- keeping the polarity strip the same as theh old Cap
- reasemble in reverse order.

It took me all of 20 minutes. It may sound difficult but is very easy if you have the tools
Good Luck
K

We are confused on what we need to do to actually get the 3D glasses to work with our tv.

Only certain channels are 3D and are usually marked in channel description as being a 3D content channel and those are only ones in which the glasses make it look 3D. A 3D channel viewed without the glasses would be noticeably different looking than a regular channel. You cannot just put on the glasses on a 3D TV and think all channels are 3D. Sports and live programming now is the most popular content in 3D on regular TV and there are DVDs made in 3D. It appears that 3D may be on verge of being dead as many of the national networks have abandoned plans for 3D platform and ESPN which being live sports is most likely to be the easiest to transmit in 3D has said the will stop their work on adding 3D content. I believe the 4k sets and content are what is driving this as most providers would rather invest capital money into 4k which is in demand far more than 3D and cheaper to do as well.

Hello Abhilash Patil,

You can adjust your 3D settings by entering the NVidia control panel which you will find in the System Tray in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

I have the sony playstation 3D display. I was wondering whats the best settings for the display. For movies

If it's a 3D DVD you can have it on the 3D setting, but if it isn't a 3D DVD put it on the regular setting.

Got a playstation display and it has a bluish purple vertical line down the tv but it disappears when any red shows up in thae area of the line any ideas what's wrong with it and if it can be fixe

The display unit is defective, some IC seems to be damaged, it can be repaired from any repair shop, but I don't think the cost will be low, as the display is manufactured by Sony and the spares are not available easily .

The screen display has gone dim and unvisable

It could be that your phone settings are set to where your phone goes dim to save power. All you need to do is go to your phone settings. Usually under display settings and then look for anything that says backlight there will be a way to change the amount of time it stays lit up.

ICF-C253 Lights gone out

There is a loose connection for the display near where you pushed on it to get ti working again. It would either need to be replaced or opened up and fixed by someone with knowledge of electronics.
