You require a high altitude carb (or carb jet) to operate correctly at this altitude. The jets are smaller to compensate for the thin air.

You need to get in touch with Ryobi to see if they sell them.

Do not adjust anything else on the generator!!!!

SOURCE: three year old coleman 5000/6250 generator. High

Your RPM's are too high. There is no voltage regulator in coleman generators (generator is actually made by generac) and is 100% dependent on engine speed. There is a screw under the tank when your looking in from the recoil side. It controls the governor arm. Screw it in and it incresses the rpm, out decrease. Plug something in that draws a decent load while setting the rpms since you want it to put out 120 and 240 underload. Your idle voltage does not matter.

SOURCE: I have an Ef3000iseb runs great here at or about 5000 ft. go up in the mountains it starts loading up and wont run. is there a higher altitude kit?

Yes thats true
there is high altitude re jetting in the carburator your carb has to be re jetted for the normal operation of the generator at high altitudes by the authorised personel but when you will bring it back again at the orignal altitude it will get heated quickly and may not function properly so you will have to bring the carb settings to its orignal position so be careful

What do you need to do to prepare a Honda 3000i handi generator for high altitude operation

The reduced atmospheric pressure at high altitude means the standard carburettor settings will not allow sufficient fuel to flow for efficient running.
The dealer or manufacturer should be able to provide details of alternative settings - the jet sizes are usually increased a few points for every 5000 ft above sea level.
The cooler temperatures experienced at high altitude would probably change the engine oil specification to a lighter or thinner grade.

?JCB FAULT CODES LIST

P0087 (flashing code 227) shared sump low pressure fault (for pump without pressure supply)
The main fault symptoms
• Engine severe vibration.
• idling unstable
• Output Fall
• exhaust smoke
• It may be too large output
P0088 (flashing code 118) shared the tank pressure is abnormally high (first or second stage)
The main fault symptoms
• Engine severe vibration
• idle instability
• Output Fall
• channeling gas engine failure
• exhaust smoke
• It may be too large output
P0089 (flashing code 151) shared the tank pressure failure (for pump pressure supply is too large)
The main fault symptoms
• Engine severe vibration
• idle instability
• Output Fall
• channeling gas engine failure
• exhaust smoke
• It may be too large output
P0090 (flashing code 247) SCV drive system open, + B short circuit or shorted to ground
The main fault symptoms
• Depending on the open / short situations, there may be an engine stall and / or launch
Machine channeling gas.
• exhaust smoke
• Output is too large
P0107 (flashing code 71) atmospheric pressure sensor circuit input low (open or shorted to ground)
The main fault symptoms
Due to spare the equivalent altitude 2000 m (6562 ft)
• exhaust smoke at high altitude.
• insufficient output at low altitude
P0108 (flashing code 71) atmospheric pressure sensor circuit input high (+ 5V shorted)
The main fault symptoms
Due to spare the equivalent altitude 2000 m (6562 ft)
• The high altitude exhaust smoke
• lack of low altitude output
P0112 (flashing code 22) intake air temperature sensor fault (low voltage fault, earth fault, short circuit)
The main fault symptoms
• When cold starting, may exhaust white smoke.

2017 Dometic DM2652 won't stay lit when using gas mode at high altitudes. When it tries to cycle on the burner goes on and off a few times then quits altogether and the check light comes on.

Most gas operated refrigerators have difficulty above 5000 ft altitude, especially if it is cold. Have you tried adjusting the flame?
I generally switch to electricity when it is available.

Does the altitude of 4000 feet has affect on someone with low blood pressure?

I am not a doctor but I can tell you that at 4000 feet there is about 87% of the oxygen compared to sea level. High altitude is usually defined as 5000-11,000 feet. High altitude actually increases the body's blood pressure.

What is the high altitude adjustment required by the manual?

the high speed adjustment needs to be richened up to compensate for the lean air mixture at high altitude. it can run but will run fast and may damage the unit because it is lean. the high speed adjustment is the one marked H or the screw farthest from the engine. turn it counter clockwise while running at full speed until it runs at the correct RPM. any small engine repair center should be able to do this for you and keep you from causing irreparable damage

Humming noise

Most times a humming noise in a Plasma tv is associated with high altitude. If you live over 3500 ft. and when you first turn on the unit is has a slight buzz and it gets worse as it warms up then you have what is referred to as high altitude sickness. You shoul contact the manufacture with this problem and the should exchange the unit with one tested for proper operation at high altitude. If you do not live at high altitude then there is a problem in the unit that should be diagnosed.
