I am having trouble connecting to Echo plus. I get to the discover device but then the Alexa app says no device discovered. What can I try?

Compatibility
The Alexa app is available on:
  • Fire OS 5.3.3 or higher
  • Android 5.1 or higher
  • iOS 10.0 or higher
  • Desktop browsers by going to: https://alexa.amazon.com
Download
Go to the app store on your mobile device and search for "Alexa app."
Note: The Alexa app downloads automatically to Alexa-enabled Fire tablets. To learn more, go to Using Alexa on Your Fire Tablet.

Update
To check for updates, go to the app store on your mobile device and search for "Alexa app." If an update is available, tap the Update button. If you don't see the Update button, you're on the latest version of the Alexa app.
To learn how to use the app, go to Amazon Alexa App Basics.

I have a apple (mac) computer and cannot download alexa app. help

As of April 2019: The Amazon Alexa app is available on supported Fire OS, Android, and iOS devices. It appears there is no MacOS version at this time (there's not a Windows version either). Limited functionality is available via your web browser (Safari/Chrome/Firefox) here: https://alexa.amazon.com
