Downloading Alexa app - Cell Phones

To download the Alexa app on a Windows 10 PC, you can follow these steps:

1. Open your web browser and go to the Amazon website.
2. Click on the "Account & Lists" drop-down menu in the top right corner of the page and select "Your Devices" from the list.
3. Click on the "Add Device" button and select "Alexa Devices" from the list.
4. Choose "Alexa App" from the options and click on the "Download" button.
5. The Alexa app will start downloading. Once the download is complete, click on the "Run" button to start the installation process.
6. Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
7. Once the Alexa app is installed, you can launch it and link it to your Echo Dot by following the on-screen instructions.

Alternatively, you can also download the Alexa app from the Microsoft Store. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Microsoft Store app on your Windows 10 PC.
2. Search for "Alexa app" in the search bar.
3. Click on the "Alexa" app from the search results and select "Get" to start the download.
4. Once the download is complete, the Alexa app will be installed on your PC and you can launch it and link it to your Echo Dot by following the on-screen instructions.

Compatibility
The Alexa app is available on:

• Fire OS 5.3.3 or higher
• Android 5.1 or higher
• iOS 10.0 or higher
• Desktop browsers by going to: https://alexa.amazon.com

Download
Go to the app store on your mobile device and search for "Alexa app."

Update
To check for updates, go to the app store on your mobile device and search for "Alexa app." If an update is available, tap the Update button. If you don't see the Update button, you're on the latest version of the Alexa app.

As of April 2019: The Amazon Alexa app is available on supported Fire OS, Android, and iOS devices. It appears there is no MacOS version at this time (there's not a Windows version either). Limited functionality is available via your web browser (Safari/Chrome/Firefox) here: https://alexa.amazon.com
