My Pentax iqzoom 160 has these plates in the camera that shift to make the frame thinner on panorama mode. one of them has just come out and i do not have a small enough screwdriver to take it apart.

I have lost the instructions for my Pentax IQZoom 160 camera sinse I lost my husband & don't know how to use it.
If you go to http://www.pentaximaging.com/support/manuals-and-literature/ and put in Camera's then Film Point and Shoot then under models put Pentax IQZoom 160 it will let you download the manual to your computer. Hope this helps.

I have a Pentax IQZoom 160 and it has error code U3 when I turn it on. The flash and zoom try to deploy several times but only the flash comes out.
If the 'U' disappears when the zoom lever is moved your camera is ready to use. It may be defective if it comes up often.

Unexpected Rewinding
Could you be putting too much film onto the wind spool? Take the end of the film leader no farther than the RED/ORANGE marker at the spool. Too much film will cause it to bind and start rewinding.
