Question about Military

Would the military allow this kind of stubble?

Some people have a 5 O-clock shadow no matter what they do. Even after shaving with a good razor twice they still have a sort of black shade. However you can tell they shaved. I wonder how people like that survive in the military, the type where no matter how much you shave you can still see the roots. Like this guy for example http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2614693/Don-Draper-flies-Los-Angeles-deal-marriage-issues-learns-status-ad-agency-Mad-Men.html Would the military have a problem with his shadowy stubble? It's under the skin in a way just because he has very dark skinny you can see it before it's even grown out. You can tell he shaves, but just can't get rid of that shadow due to having dark thick beard hair and light skin. This is ridiculous, I asked this question only twice. What is the big issue here? Are you people that uptight? If me asking a question twice bothers you, don't answer my question. I mean you have people spamming questions 5 times a day, yet I am such an annoyance? Shows how pathetic the Y!A community is.

Can civilians salute the American flag?

there is no "law" against civilians rendering a hand salute. some already do,i.e. Boy and Girl Scouts, Police, Firefighters.
The typical or recommended salutes are guidance written into the flag code which describes flag etiquette. just as there is no law that says the flag shall never touch the ground, it is etiquette and respect that guides us.

Are you allowed to use your own weapons in the military?

No. most countries organized armed forces will issue the weapons they want you to use. they can better maintain and support them rather than having 100s of different types of weapons. You may still own your own personal weapon if your local laws allow.

do not lie. It is a felony to lie on enlistment applications and paperwork. also you will want your wife to have medical coverage and the other benefits associated with being a military spouse.

What's the best route to take to become a fixed-wing pilot in the military?

I recommend joining the Air Force if you want to become a pilot however, people don't just become pilots after having a Bachelors. You have to meet the requirements, pass the exams and be medically cleared and in shape, this applies to all branches. On the other hand its a challenge that only you can decide. I recommend talking to the nearest recruiter.
