Scared lf i joined the marines and not make it last boot camp?

I've been preparing for this since my freshman year I am currently am a junior in high school and have a year and a half left. After high school I want to join the marines, but scared of bootcamp I am a swimmer and cross country runner I can run the 5k in 21 mins and swim 500 meters in 5:45 min also I am taking auto mechanic classes and I have a year and a half of high school. I was thinking of being a mechanic in the marines. The only problem is bootcamp I just feel it will be difficult to pass, because I heard stories that half of your class would drops out and i dont want to be one of them.

Sounds like you have a defeats character already and are ready to quit even before starting
maybe it is what you need to make something of your self
remember the saying
better to have given it your all and failed than to have given nothing and wonder for the rest of your life if you could have succeeded

The Navy, Army and Marines have recruits drop out at roughly the same rate, between 11 and 14 percent. If you are a swimmer and runner then you are in better shape than 90% of the other recruits. Boot camp is also a mental challenge. The goal is to train you to have discipline, teamwork, and strong success driven attitude. If you are really worried, talk to a Marine recruiter. They have pre-bootcamp workout sessions that will give you a taste of what to expect.

Joining the NAVY?

yes you can. Talk to a Navy recruiter but make sure they are OFFICER Recruiting NOT ENLISTED recruiting.
With your education you may qualify for Nuclear Power school and submarines but also would be given your choice. Remember, you NEVER experimented with drugs. Ever. Good Luck.

Do you like sleeping in the mud or in a hot tent - join the Army.
If you want an air conditioned bed on a clean ship with hot showers - Go Navy.
