If the batteries are new they will be virtually fully charged (check with meter) and if the wheelchair is ok everything should work so there is probably a fault in the wheelchair circuitry.

Unless the batteries are discharged it should not matter whether the charger works or not.

A multimeter is a great help when dealing with electrical and electronic equipment and a circuit diagram is almost essential except for the most basic of faults.

When checking the charger keep in mind it might be an intelligent charger and not produce an output unless it "sees" the battery.

I HAVE A JET 3 ULTRA CHAIR, WE LOSS THE 24V PRIDE JET 3 Ultra Power Chair Smart Battery Charger, CAN WE USE A COMPUTER CABLE INSTEAD IF NOT WHAT CAN WE DO.

You can use the AC charger cord from a computer as a replacement for the AC cord of the charger. If the AC cord plugs into the wall and plugs into the charger or charger receptacle on the back of the power chair, you can use it.
If I remember correctly, This chair has a 4 Amp on-board charger which has an AC receptacle on the back of the chair to plug in an AC cord. The off-board chargers take a universal AC cord which will work with a universal computer AC cord. If the AC cord plugs in, use it.

Batteries not charging - just replaced with new -amp meter dosent move while plugged in. Old batteries were dead and owners manual says charger will cease to work when batteries die and to contact pride...

1st Check the 25amp inline fuse located behind the volt meter. 2nd Check the 50 amp fuse located behind the foot rest. A pin located under the foot rest when pulled out will open the front to access the fuse.
