that is not a plug in part that looks like a power board which is not recommended to be used on high power devices like a fireplace . I suggest the fire place should be plugged directly into a power wall outlet .that can handle the current requirements. usually 15 amps max via a fuse or circuit breaker in the switch board of the power feed. .

yes I have done this to a power board myself but with an arc welder and other devices plugged into a power board at the same time.
