Sounds like you damaged the TV circuits.

When I turn on my 60 inch LG TV it pops the breaker. Can I reset the TV?

Two things you need to check what else do you have plugged in do not use a surge protector plug the TV and directly to the wall and if the breaker trips I would suggest you replace the breaker or the wall plug

Kenmore range "power element" makes clicking/popping noise when the element is turned on. Sounds like something electrical and I'm afraid of a fire.

Turn off the 240V breaker to your machine. It is located at the
breaker box. Look for a label which says, " washer and dryer". Either separate or together.

Then you can disconnect your machine from the wall to have it worked on. It seems that the wiring may be shorting.
I suggest you turn it off ASAP. Then have it fixed.
.....I am so sorry. But the same answer still stands. We don't want you to burn your house down or get hurt in any way.. Fix that popping noise . Use a hotplate or whatever until you get your stove fixed.Have an appliance person come and fix it or take it to somebody. See if you still have a warranty on it.

Tripping the breaker

Could be a number of things but I would first suggest that you check the plug (from the TV) for wires touching inside ie: neutral and/or earth touching the phase terminal and/or damaged cable.

Hope this helped

Accidently unplugged unit without turning power off. when plugged back in power will not come on. i reset the plug and got the green light and when hit test it popped as per the instrunctions on the cord.

Because you used a common plug that already has 5 or more amps of current on it it would be bound to trip easily. Many modern homes that are put together fast have the wires pushed in the back of them and hence can't take a huge load like that. One of the plugs in the system likely failed to pass the power to the next one in the chain. That is why an informed consumer calls an electrician when they get a new appliance like an air conditioner and have a designated plug installed with a wire size and a breaker that can handle it. Sometimes they put in a high quality commercial plug.

Our RCA HD62W59 makes a loud squealing noise after being turned on for about 10-15 minutes.

I had the same problem on my hd52w59 hdtv and sucessfully fixed it yesterday from an answer i found here...so hopefully im paying it forward.

First off, im no TV tech so you do this at your own risk!!! Based on the research ive done regarding this subject, if there is no issue with the picture and its not related to speakers(ie. if you mute it and it still makes the sound) then its the horizontal drive coil. The fix i read was to put nail polish or hot glue around the coil. Well i came up with something easier and its worked for a few days now(fingers crossed). An old fashioned wooden clothes pin. Put it on the horizontal drive coil and it absorbs the harmonic frequency(high pitch noise). I realize this is a wooden object on a electrical piece that heats up but i have had no issue as of yet.

Now, how to locate the noisy horizontal drive coil...unplug TV from power, remove the lower rear panel around where the wires go into the tv. There are about 8 #20 torx bit screws you remove, then use a flathead screwdriver to pop one clip on each side and 3 underneath, this will allow the plastic trim panel to pop off. Get a flashlight aimed in there so you can see the components. Plug the TV back in and turn it on...wait for the noise. Now make sure you dont touch anything high voltage and once again you do this at your own risk...but take a small wooden stick (i used the stick from a plunger) and touch it to the suspected culprit...when you touch the noisy drive coil the noise will immediately go away. Once you know which one it is turn the TV off, unplug it, and put a wooden clothes pin on it. Plug the TV back up, turn it on and ensure the sound doesnt come back before putting everything back together.

Beats the hell outta paying a technician $75-100 plus parts, huh?

Unit powers up, but trips breaker when I try to heat anything in it

Hello,

Something is drawing too much current. With the breaker off, check the connections inside the outlet (on the wall). You will have to remove the outlet of course. They should all be tight. It is possible that the outlet is bad - they are cheap, might be a good idea to replace it at that time. Also, check all the connections on the stove, especially at the fuse bar. The breaker box/breaker may also be the problem (loose connections, worn breaker). The element MIGHT be the problem, although they usually pop breakers right away after start up. Also, look for anything touching, including the element wire touching the element casing.

If you have an ohmmeter, you could disconnect the range from the wall and turn on the oven. Measure the resistance across the two power leads (not the neutral in the plug). That will give you an indication of how much power the element draws when it's cold.
where R is the resistance in ohms, V is the voltage (240 V), and I is the current.

Unfortunately, the element may have a resistance that's too low only when it's hot and this might not test that.

Good luck in solving the problem......

My Fridgidaire FEF366BCC just popped my breaker

This sounds like a main control problem. More specifically like one of the relays is shorted. You will need to acess the main control and carefully inspect it for any burn marks. If you don't see any disconnect the main power supply wire going to the main control. Then plug it back in if it trips the breaker the problem is in the power cord or wiring from the cord junction to the main control. If it does not trip the breaker the problem is the main control. Here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/ovenerc.html

No power to the fan or lights. Checked the

You're saying fan (singular) and lights (plural)? Does this fan and these lights work off of one switch? If so, then it's probably a bad switch. You can check this by turning off the circuit breaker. Remove the switch from the wall, and put the two wires going to that switch together. Make sure to use a wire nut, or tape to keep these wires together without touching and grounding anything. Make sure these wires are clear of anyone or anything, and then go back and turn on the circuit breaker. If the lights and fan go back on, then it's a bad switch. This is what it sounds like. So now, you can turn the cir. brkr back off - replace the switch, and then after everything is secure and the switch is in the off position - you can turn the cir. brkr back on again. Then go back into the kitchen and turn the switch on again to reaffirm that everything is back in working order. If for some reason this doesn't work, feel free to contact me again. Good Luck!  Jim

Toshiba tz50v51 popping sound

Possible problems: * The TV set may be unplugged. * A fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or switched off. * The remote control unit (RCU) may be disabled. Solutions: * Make sure the TV/VCR are plugged in and the wall switch is on. * Check the fuse or circuit breaker. Test the outlet with a lamp. * Replace the RCU's batteries: if this fails exchange the unit.
