At high altitude polaris runs rough and lopes

well not knowing the model or year of mfg , ill assume its one with fuel injection , the mAP Sensor is the device that controls this function , they do sometimes get clogged up and require a good cleanout with some Map sensor spray (don't use brakeclean!!!) unless you want to buy a new one (sensor that is not atv) but even that's only gonna get you too about ten thousand feet , any higher than that your gonna need custom software to get it to run ok

I have a pb4 polaris booster pump that doesn't seem to put out enough pressure to run the pool sweep.

Check your in line screen and wall fitting to make sure they are right. Sometimes the over pressure button on the wall fitting will blow out.

Also, your local pool store should have a pressure stick they will lend you. It connects the end of the hose where the Polaris would be. You should be getting a least 28 psi. If you are getting less, you may have a clog in the booster pump's impeller. If you have that or more, the problem is internal to the Polaris. Verify that the backup valve is working properly as well.

Why does the valve at wall on polaris 3900 sport keep popping up

The mechanism of the polaris is driven by water pressure. If too much pressure gets to the drive mechanism, it will break. This valve allows extra water pressure to escape before it gets to the machine and rips the drive mechanism apart.

I have a fuel injected polaris 800. it idles good but when you give it gas it cuts off

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and you should have at least 42 PSI. For a few years Polaris had a alot of issues with the regulator in the fuel tank going bad. If you want the reg or pump you have to give up $500 for the whole tank. Check your fuel pressure.

I got a 500 polaris sportsman ..just done over ..good spark and new gas wants to go but won't..any suggestions??

buy a 30 dollar compression tester or borrow one from a mechanic and see if you are getting decent cylinder pressure. Also how old is the plug? an old plug may test well outside the head but under pressure they can fail.

Pump seems to running but the water pressure going to polaris does not change when you turn Pump on or off. Polaris is not performing as usual. Is there a way to check if pump is actually pumping the...

Disconnect the hose from the wall and with your hand fell how much pressure you have. It's possible you have an air lock. With the hose off the top fitting of the booster pump and the hose pointing away from you and electrical turn pump on and see what kind of pressure. This will also clear the air.
