No
ask your mechanic to check this?
some cars, we dont your car IN USA , sorry, why ask us?
but some AT cars
have P/N switch
power and normal
power is aggressive shifting and N = grandma.
teenage/grandma mode.

and most modern cars
the transmission has a learn mode!
if the car battery dies, then is corrected.
the trans goes to learn ,so drive it and in few miles
it learns how you drive and how to shift correctly
all modern cars do that

my modern jeep has like 15 learn modes.
the newer the car the more learn modes.
(smart cars)

Rough idle iddle surges when in gear (auto trans)

Sounds like a throttle position sensor-get an auto store to check the trouble codes (some do it for free)

Hope this helps.

Isuzu Trooper 1997. Automatic Transmission holds gears too long.

Their is a power and normal drive in trooper's power for pulling a trailer and normal for normal driving. The power drive only changes gear at higher R.P.M. Their is a switch on the plastic cover under the handbrake with p & n their is a light in the dash as well. If you are not aware of this switch then just needs switching over if you are aware of it then its probably the fuse to activate it or a wiring problem with it, Cheers

1999 a4 2.4 auto uk model gearbox fault

After a jump start because of no electrical power, the car will run rough for several days (expected) while it adjusts to your driving habits. I'm not sure about the gears, but I'd try to drive with it like that for a few days and see if it returns to normal.
