Paper jam problem

Paper is drawn in to the printing position. It then stops and the message comes up "paper jam". There is no paper jam. I have removed back cover, paper tray, top cover, in fact everything I could remove to find this bit of paper. There is definitely no paper jammed, not even a microscopic amount, but still it says "paper jam".
The paper is drawn through if I press the re-set button, but it will not print for toffee and still tells me it is jammed.
Please someone, tell me how I can convince it there is nothing there

Remove the back cover and put an index card thru where the paper goes, that should push out any left over scraps.

Printer will not print after paper jam. after removing the jam the ready light comes on and when we try to print again the screen shows it is preparing to print but it does not print

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Had paper jammed - removed jammed paper - but nerror light still on

Before you can clear a "PAPER JAM" or "PRINTER JAM" error, you must locate where in the unit the paper is jammed.
First, unplug the machine for safety and disconnect the telephone line. Next, follow these instructions based on where the paper jam is located.

  6. Examine under the print head. If anything is found, remove it.

My Samsung CLP 315w refuses to print a whole A4 page. Stops half way then message comes up paper jam but when I open back / front, paper not jammed and when I close it document continues printing then...

Hi,

most likly hood is your exit sensor is faulty. The printer work in this way. if it does not print out all the document. it will print again. that is why you kept getting this same issue after a jam open and close door it will print again.

replace the exit sensor it will help.

Canon Imageclass MF4370dn constant paper jam errors

Dear
Inside the back panel there are paper sensors attached to lever, a small spring connected to lever to keep its home position, the spring may dislocated from its position or the lever sticked to the base. some times a small piece of paper sticked at this may cause the problem.
Thanks.

Error 13-jam paper HP Laser 4+

HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus and 4m Plus Series Printers - False Error Message 13 PAPER JAM ISSUE: After clearing all jammed paper from the HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus, or 4m Plus series printer, the display still reads 13 Paper Jam . Even after cycling the power off and then back on, the error remains. SOLUTION: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Hope it will help you !

PAPER JAMS

Does the fault clear when you open/close? If it does you probably don't have a jam.
Does the machine begin to try to make copies, then stop-if so it has probably failed to feed off the tray, hence the jam message. If this is the case, pull out the paper tray, check for obstructions, clean feed rollers and try again. Are there "skid marks on the paper(indicating the rolls have turned?) If so rolls could be dirty/worn. If no skid marks, can you determine if the rolls did in fact turn? Go from there

Paper jam Brother MFC-215C

Norman,

does the printhead run smoothly to the left side of the printer when it is powered on?

If the printhead cant run that freely, it will give you the paperjam message. You have to dismantle the printer again, connect the scanner and cables again when top cover is removed. Press the scanner open contact (opposite to the menu button) and watch the printhead run to the left side. It might be that either the printhead stucks somewhere on its way (press the cover of the printhead. It might be the reason) or the guide rail hinders the printhead to move.

Error light, can't find the problem

Hi, you should check the position of paper sensor flag, called "actuator" (part number 4139 3505 02). On the picture - part 15. The "paper jam" error message means also - "toner cartidge missing", "paper out" or "photoconductor missing" e8dd7eb.gif
