My days on heat/ cool fan won't start on cool

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

To run your Dyson Hot + Cool heater on fan mode, you need to turn the target temperature down to 0 degrees using either the remote, or the controls on the base. The target temperature is shown on the LED display on the front of the heater. When fan mode is activated the light around the on/off button will turn from red to blue.

I hope this helps, but if you'd like any further advice you're welcome to contact our experts 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Dyson hot cool will not start

Hi Frank, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your Dyson Hot + Cool fan heater. I'm not sure from your question if your machine isn't running at all, or if it's displaying an error code. However, there are a couple of quick troubleshooting steps you can try.

If your AM05 is displaying an error code, we'd recommend unplugging it for the wall socket for 30 seconds before testing it again. This should reset the machine.

However, if your AM05's LED display lights up as normal, it may not be coming on because the thermostat's target temperature is set lower than the current ambient temperature. Try raising the target temperature degree by degree using the remote or the controls on the base. You should find it will come on once you've set it to heat the room to a higher than ambient temperature.

The Getting started guide I've attached may help, but if you'd like any additional advice from our experts you can reach us on 1-866-693-9766 (US), 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

Dyson hot and cold fan only works in hot mode

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

When you adjust the target temperature of your Dyson Hot fan heater (shown on the LED display on the base), you're setting the target temperature you would like the room heated to. The actual temperature of airflow produced by the fan heater will not vary.

If the heater won't run below 25 degrees, this is likely to be because the temperature of the room you're in is equal to or warmer than 25 degrees. The heater will only turn itself on if the temperature drops below 25 degrees, and once the room temperature reaches this target once again, the fan will turn itself back to monitoring mode.

I've attached our Getting started video below which shows how to adjust the temperature, using the remote or the controls on the base.

I hope this makes sense. It sounds as if your machine is working correctly, but if you'd like any further advice from our experts you can reach us at 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).
