this could be a codec problem or video was record on low sound settings .try checking that your sound is up full right click on sound icon....open volume mixer make sure all slides are up full.
hope this helps
1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
2. Under the volume tab, turn your "Device Volume" bar up
3. Also, click on "Speaker Volume" at the bottom and adjust both left and right speaker bars up
First try using MP3 player or any audio source to feed the monitor audio input jack (green jack) to see if you get the sound OK. Just need to narrow down the problem. The DC adapter for the sound bar is OK?
Skype has its own volume controle try to adjust it accordingly! if it is at highest so may be your wave volume is lowered. "Double click" on the speaker icon in the task bar. It will open the volume control panel. There you can see several volume controles. Usually the second one from left is the wave control.
go to sound icon in bottom right corner, click on mixer, then there is a sound output screen. I had the same problem on my laptop until i found this screen and turns out my laptop was using 20% of its volume!
