There a jumper on the mother board in which you simple remove and boot up the computer.

SOURCE: bios reset

As another option you could try resetting the jumper. Some boards save the password regardless unless the reset the BIOS by using the resetting jumper. Refer to the motherboard's manual for further information on how to do this.

SOURCE: Asus eee pc 4g bios password

You don't need to access bios to change boot drive just hit escape key a couple of times when you power on and it will give you options for which drive to boot from.

Asus k52dr Bios Password problem. Recovered my stolen laptop after threatening to call the police, the guy tampered with it so it requires a password upon powerup, doesnt let my press f2 or anything else....

You can try contacting Asus for a password but if that fails you will need shop service to have the bios password reset. Asus however should be able to provide you with a code. Online Virus Removal and PC Help Contest

What password do i have to fill in when i press f2? it asks for a password because i want to reboot my asus eee pc , someone please help

Don't press F2, the password is not to reboot, but to get into your BIOS, which may have been locked by Asus. You don't need to get into your BIOS to reboot, so just start up normally, without pressing buttons.

ASUS A3H notebook: how do I reset the bios password. First, I press F2, then I'm able to get through the bios, then I changed the password ( I didn't place any or no password at all, just pressed...

Well..... It thinks there is a password. Have you tried just pressing the enter key? If so, then you have to reset the CMOS. To do this you will need to disassemble to get to the CMOS battery. I could have a jumper but the easiest method is just to pull the CMOS battery. On older laptops it is a rechargeable battery (nicad or lithum) and on newer ones they use a coin cell battery like desktop computers.

Best of luck, Jim

PLEASE MY EEE PC KEEP ASKING FOR A PASSWORD ON BOOT UP.

When you turn on the Eee PC you should see the Eee PC logo. Press F2 at that time to access the Bios. NOTE: recommend not to change anything else while in bios.

Once in the bios press the right arrow button to move to the tab labeled Security. NOTE: tabs located at the very top of the screen,

On the Security tab press the down arrow button to highlight the option to change the supervisor password and follow the prompts.
NOTE: to have no password leave password blank.

Once done press the right arrow button to exit and then press the down arrow button to select the option "Exit and Save Changes"

When the computer restarts it should no longer ask for password when turning it on.

Keeps asking for system or administrator password but the password won't work

To remove the BIOS password from a desktop. All you need to do is open the tower. Locate the CMOS battery. Remove it. Wait for a minute then put it back in. That would resolve the problem. However, that would also reset the BIOS settings back to factory settings. Meaning the dates will have to changed back to current. Depending on the BIOS, either press F2 or DEL then change the date there. Please let me know if this would resolve your issue.

Can not get into phoenixbios setup utility

Hi

Is it like when you turn on your computer it asks you for a BIOS password.

You need to open the notebook from the back and locate the small battery which looks like the shape of coin,
After locating it take that battery out and turn on your computer,
Once your computer is fully loaded then turn if Off,
Then put the battery back and turn on your computer
Try to go into BIOS.
I am sure you will be able to go into BIOS.
