Yamaha pianos should all have a label SOMEPLACE on the instrument. USUALLY the label will have the manufacturing date listed, and sometimes coded by two digit year and two digit week.
You will likelly find dates within the unit as well.

The "G" probably indicates where it was made.
Based on the site, your piano was p[robably mad between January and June of 1977.
