The line is like a big arc, as if the light is going through a prism.

Lasers do not bend, per se. If you have some sort of distortion of the beam, then the reflector is faulty or damaged. If the beam is slanted then the gimble assembly is not hanging straight.

In either case these are throw away units. Go back to the retailer and see if they have a solution. Or call Black and Decker and see if they will replace it for you.

SOURCE: DEWALT LASER LEVEL SELF LEVELING THE LIGHT LASER

Laser diodes are no like light bulbs. When a light bulb burns out, it goes black. When a laser diode burns out, it goes to an extreme low power state. You can see red at the source, but there is no beam to speak of. If this is what you're seeing, then contact Dewalt. They are low quality instruments, but will try there best to get you a new one, at a reasonable price.

SOURCE: how do i change spring contacts on dewalt 087 laser

Are there spareparts in US for this DW087 ?

In Europe there are spareparts for to get !

Its for Milwaukee in Europe that there are little Milwaukee tools where nothing is to get but in australia all parts and may be in the states to.
All based on marketing technical decisions and differences.

DEWALT LASER LEVEL SELF LEVELING THE LIGHT LASER IS VERY LOW (VERY HARD TO SEE) CAN BE FIXED? THANKS.

This is one of the cheeper lasers and is designed for predominantly indoor use this Dewalt DW087K unit has a visibility range of 14 yards. Although from experience they do drain the batteries quicker than you would think and cause the laser to be hard to see as well. Hope it works for you!!

No laser beam how to fix

I would check the batterys first and if they are good, generally there is no way for an end user to fix a laser. I have talked to DeWalt in the past about this and been advised not to open it up. you can try to reset the laser and see if it reboots, sometimes they are so far out they won't turn the laser on.

How do I calibrate my stanley laser level

to calibrate you need to have an area 75 to 100 feet in distance. place laser on tripod 20 feet from one end, take measurements on short and long end, then move laser to center of range and take measurements on both ends . the distance between both sets of marks should be within + or - 1/4 inch if not move level screw to move beam to center then center bubble

Horizontal line very dull , vertical line normal

if batteries are new then its either a bad connection to diode, cold solder on pcb or simply a blown diode

Dewalt laser dw087 is blinking and cannot self level anymore (I assume)

this unit does not have any replaceable parts, if the unis is covered by warranty, it would be exchange, if not then check with your local servicenter the max rate program to do so.
