I took the lid off the machine and I cleaned off all visible easy to get to electrical connections and vacuumed all parts at the back. Be gentle as to not break anything.
I then safely turned on the machine and it worked.
It seems that the door cannot be locked.
Check that the door closes correctly and you hear the click when it closes. If this is ok and you cannot start any cycle but continue hear clicking, then you have a problem with the door lock latch and needs to be replaced. Here is a video of how you can do it after you buy the spare part, according to the model and serial number of your appliance. The video is for a different brand of washer but don't worry the process is exactly the same!

hose has a tendency to come off.
Only carry out if you are confident that you can carry out safely.
Note check small black hose to the air pressure switch is connected,
If unsure call a service engineer.
My machine just had the flashing "door" fault.
On carrying out fault finding checks,
I Found that the main PCB had a built up dust.
This dust was in black lines going between components of the board.
Cleaned around components of the board with a small soft brush.
assembled & tested okay 2 months ago & still working.
