In the rear of the dryer is a thermal limiter which will kick in when the exhaust temp is too high and can cause a fire. One link will show what the limiter looks like and the other will show how to commonly get to the limiter. Your mileage may vary.

Put some Windex on those sensors. They may have a barrier of junk on them preventing the sensors from detecting dampness.

The problem is the dryer coils have failed. They tend to fail as they heat up. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a link that should help troubleshooting a gas dryer

MAL9000AXX is a part that can be ordered there are a couple companies that stock it , Marcone Appliance parts, Reliable Parts, and Appliance parts depot too name a few it retails for about $22.00 try calling a local parts distributor if these names don't sound familiar, Maytag was making dryers for Samsung for quite awhile and that is the most common conversion kit, so I think you'll be fine if you get that kit, good luck.

the government mandated that gas appliances start using electronic ignighters because pilot lights would keep blowing gas even after they blew out now the way they work is calibrated on how much amps the glow bar draws the rest of the amps go to the safety valve to open it when the glow bar is drawing enough amps to be hot enough to ignite the gas now what this means is even though the glow bar glows it can still not be hot enough to ig night the gas so the safety valves don't get the right amps to the solenoids to open so you could have a weak ignighter or bad solenoids on the safety valves now i would lean toward the solenoids but i would buy both and first replace the solenoids then the ignighter if the solenoids work take the ignighter back
