There is website called ifixit.com that has the front panel for the iPhone it is 65.00 and it is worth getting. Go to YouTube.com and search how to fix a iPhone front screen. Follow the instructions very carefully an have the right tools to take it apart. Also ifixit has the tools to fix the phone. Hope this helps you out.

If you have already tried using the iphone it might be too late to help. But I would try putting it into a bag of rice for a few days. Sounds dumb but it dries the iphone out. If it does not work after that its RIP Iphone 4S. Goodluck!

If your iPhone's battery runs very far down, the iPhone won't turn on. That's because it's using its remaining battery life to preserve your data and settings.So, your iPhone could be refusing to turn on because its battery doesn't have enough juice. In that case, plug your iPhone into a wall charger or into your computer (plug it directly into the computer; some USB ports on keyboards don't have enough power to charge iPhones). Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. If it was low on battery and needed a charge, when it's got enough juice to power the screen, it will turn on and show you its charging status, starting with the red battery icon.During this process, you may also want to make sure there's no lint packed into your cable or the iPhone's dock connector. 1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.


Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Just tap 3 fingers at the same time on your iphone's screen. What happened was you unintentionally grabbed the iphone thru your pocket and had placed three fingers at the same time in the screen.
