SOURCE: I would like to know how to adjust the carburator of McCulloch 3516 chainsaw 35cc/cm 46759-77

the carbuator has two 2 adjusting screws on it.one is high side and the other is low side.start by turnig them both in until they touch bottom.now turn them both out 1 1/2 turns.this should start and run saw.throttle saw up to full throttle and adjust high side in until you get the best RPM out of saw.do not adjust high side any less then 7/8 turn out from bottom.if you do you will burn saw up from to lean burn.once the high sie is set now adjust low side until the saw will idle by it's self.let me know if this helped you.......

SOURCE: Mcculloch chainsaw. Model 2116av. Primer bulb is

Hello Jeff;
Your saw is listed here:
McCulloch MTD
Chainsaws 32cc-35cc-38cc Anti-Vibe
The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best; components are listed but may be on different illustrations. The primer is displayed but not listed, and there is no part number. Before you get to deep please contact OrderTree.
http://www.ordertree.com/cms/parts-lookup-help/73.html

Use the IPL as a guide for disassembly/reassembly.
This is typical routing and a couple of hints.

OMs for McCulloch are tough. harder than replacing the fuel line. Have your saw within easy reach they will want the serial number and a few other things.
Operators Manuals: are much more difficult. I have dialed this number many times (Contact Us - All McCulloch Products 1 (800) 521-8559) and have yet to get a satisfactory response. Please try this! If enough of us try they will fix it! If unsuccessful with McCulloch try here:
Beg for manuals thread (ArboristSite - free to join). Please use the search function first, it has probably been asked and answered.

The bar on my chainsaw develops a lip after cutting for while

When is the last time you rotated the bar? Also a lip will form if the chain is too loose. Also ensure you are using plenty of oil, especially when cutting harder wood or treated wood. A qualified service pro can determine if your bar is still serviceable as well.

McCulloch 14" chain saw Model CS 38 EM It quit

Most often there is a dust-oil clog in the bottom of the bar slot which closes an oil passage between the bar slot and the hole drilled half way through the side of the bar. This provides a passage between the thin shim plate with the two bar bolt holes beside the bar and through to the oil tank or pump output. You can remove the bar and chain and punch out the blockage in the bar with a paper clip if the chain is removed. Make sure the wire can be pushed from the bar slot right through the side hole in the bar. A gravity feed chainsaw should leak right out into the slot of the shim plate, a button pumper should squirt out there with the bar removed. With a button pumper you may have a tiny check valve in the line or the push button to take apart, replace the spring or unstick the ball inside the check valve. This is why they went to the gravity feed oil system which just leaks in there and gets picked up by the bottom of the links as the chain races past the passage between the bar side hole and the chain slot.

I trying to find a bar & chain for a Mcculloch eager ****** saw. Only model numbers I find are 60012416or 12-052701. Saw had 16" bar which has broken. Was using Oragon S54 chain.

Here is a good website for finding bar and chains from the Oregon website. After you get the part # you want you can always purchase from other source.

I just got a 14 inch McCulloch electric chain saw and it did not have a manual, I do not know what type of oil it takes.

You provide no model number so my answer is limited. Use "Bar and Chain" oil available at most home centers and hardware stores.

You can likely find an OM for your saw here: If the entire model does not work try just the numbers then choose from the list provided.
