I cannot seem to sew any faster even though I have the foot pedal pushed all the way down...it was just conditioned. Is there something I can do to regain speed?

most sewing machines are controlled by a foot peddle the harder you press the faster it goes but if this one is electronic it should have another method of slowing it down
Have you checked for something stuck in it? Even a small pin can do a lot of damage and jam the spring. Give it a good shake. If you can't get inside, try taking a vacuum nozzle over it.
Fortunately the foot pedal is probably the easiest part of a sewing machine to replace if it is damaged beyond repair..
When you unstuck the pedal, did you also go inside to unstick the contacts (switch). This happens sometimes for lack of use. You may need to replace the contact, but you will see when you get in there. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
Check to see if there is something caught up in the foot pedal, like a scrap of fabric. That could be enough to prevent you from fully closing the pedal. Disconnect the pedal from the machine and from the wall. Holding the pedal in your hands, squeeze it closed as far as you can. Release. It should pop open. If it does not, then the pedal springs may be broken or worn out.
Buy a new foot pedal for it, probably one of the electrical components inside the foot has failed.
There are Kenmore footcontrols for sale on www.sewingpartsonline.com. You could email them to check its right for your model if it isn't listed.
Obviously I'm assuming that you are in USA with 110 Voltage and that is what your machine is. If not and your country is 220V, you would need to source it from a reseller in your own country or another with the same voltage.
I am pretty sure it is the foot pedal. It will need to be repaired. You might want to blow air inside to get rid of dust. The bottom usually slides to the rear. You can blow out all of the parts. You may want to slightly tap your foot pedal on the floor. Remove the thread first though. You may find that it will stop when you do this. Anyway, repair or replace.
