We have an HP color laserjet 3500 printer that will not feed the paper from tray 2. There doesn't seem to be a jam that we can see. It does feed from the manual tray - but not tray 2. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
The pickup rollers are worn out. Replace them and your problem will be gone. While you are sourcing them, use some alcohol. This may give them a little more life.
Feed rollers are worn out, replace them. If u clean this rollers do it with solution 50/50 water and alcohol, don't do it with pure alcohol

I have seen this issue before and your problem is likely due to very fine paper dust on the pickup rollers. This is easy to fix and takes only a few minutes. Use a soft piece of cloth (not a paper towel), a computer cleaning towelette or anything that does not produce lint; dampen it (unless your are using a towelette) slightly with cleaning alcohol and wipe off the paper pickup roller on all sides. You should also remove the toner cartridge and vacuum out the interior of your 4MP, use care if you are not used to poking around the interior of HP printers. You will usually find both white paper dust and maybe some black toner dust. Put the cartridge and paper tray back in place, print a couple of blank sheets as a test - you should be good to go.

most likeky it just isnt getting the paper. take a dab of dish doap on yout fingertip and scrub at your pick up rollers with your fingernail. you will dee the dirt coming off. when clean use a wet washcloth to finish cleaning them then let dry. they should feel a littly tacky when done. now they can grab paper again and you should be back working
