H4 can occur when the copier is turned on in area thats below 65 degrees. If the copier does not warm up to the preset temperature fast enough, then a H4 code appears and disables the copier until its reset using code 14 while in the diagnostics mode. The older Sharp copiers used this sequence of pushing these following keys. "C, "0", "0," "C" to get into diagnostics. When done correctly the machine will flash a "1" in the display window, and by typing in 14 and then pushing the green print key it will reset the code and the machine will immediatley begin running and retry warming up again. Also Sharp used "C', "interupt, "0", interupt. It always took 4 keys to get into the diagnostic mode, with 14 restting the codes. .
