Under normal use does the main oven fan stop whaen the thermostats reaches temp.

  • magna buff Apr 05, 2017

if normal baking or roasting the fan kicks in and out to keep evem temp

but fan is never supposed to let the oven go cold while baking

I have removed the stat ans seems okwith multimeter. It seems the fan cuts out first as the oven is building temperature, not aftert the thermostat cuts in and tuns off element

Removed the stat to test it, it only has 2 conmections. How is the fan cutting out first if not linked to thermostat?

  • magna buff Apr 06, 2017

get a cheap oven shelf internal thermostat and take its readings when fan shuts off and if it re starts

I did last night, was cutting out at 190 to 200. Only came back on one switched off and cooled right down to 50

  • magna buff Apr 06, 2017

there you have it needs a oven technician to sort it
fan itself failing . the dial or control circuit board short .. faulty wiring for the thermostat

I'd say its the oven thermal cutout. Its set to open cct the supply to fan and element if the casing reaches 170. In my case the fan failed first which must have affected the thermal cutout. I've just ordered 2 as I goosed my top oven one trying to swap them round, guess they get brittle as they age.

    Order code KSD301A-180AR-BT from sinolec

Noisy fan cda oven model DC940

Sounds like either your fan/motor has come loose or there is debris or junk in the moving parts.
Suggest remove the side panel and clear/clean the fan.
Be sure to disconnect the electrical power and stay conscious of the sharp sheet metal edges.
If this is an older model I suggest is time to purchase a new one.
Why ? Older models usually have other worn parts that will soon fail - after you do your marvelous fan fix a couple of months later the thing could give out wasting your time and efforts.

Oven doesn't seem to heat up enough

There is a cooling fan In a STOVES 720 to keep the fabric of the oven cool. If this fails the overheat thermostats will cut in and shut the heating elements off. The cooling fan does in fact blow air out of various places in and around the doors. The top oven has a small element and takes a long time to warm up. If you are not confident that the thermostats are working correctly, then I suggest you purchase an oven thermometer from someone like Lakeland and see how that relate to what you are actually setting on the cooker dial. As I said the top oven leave a lot to be desired!

How do I replace the bottom oven element in a CDA CD 907 double oven

ISOLATE MAINS POWER BEFORE WORKING ON THIS APPLIANCE
Remove the back of the oven check temp controller before replacing or buying element, as this can often stop any heat being produced. The element is in front of the fan, if this model is fan assisted, remove fan, after removing element inspect to see any small hole in metal, if you see a large hole more than 10mm , this could be a sign that the fan needs cleaning. Clean fan with WD40, do not switch oven on untill fan has dried off. Then replace element, switch oven on low with door open, if you feel slight heat, go for a full test, gradually build up heat, keep on for at least 30 mins, make sure the oven reaches temp, you can expect some smell from a new element, this is protective oil, and considered normal.

Electrolux EOB5630X. Oven works fine for about 20-30mins then cuts out (light in oven turns off and grill will not work at this time either). Will work fine again after temp in oven cools but cuts out...

the electronics are heating up and cutting out.that cold be a bad clock assy. or there's a fan in there that could be bad or i've seen on some models there's a screen in where the fan is,it gets clogged with dust and the air can't blow to cool down the electronics.if it is the fan and you keep using it like that it will take out the computer board or clock assy. same part.

The oven works fine as in it heats up but when turned off the cooling fan keeps going...used it last night and this morning the fan is still on...turned oven on and it is heating up but as I said the fan...

most ovens use a cut in limpet themostat(sometimes called button stat) typically normally open and closed at 40deg c. it will be this that will be not resetting to the open position at room temp. on rarer models the timer controls the cooling fan. some models of aeg and electrolux have a thermal delaying device located in abulb in the wiring loom. hope this helps

Oven Over Heat

Not sure if this is relevant but, have you set the clock correctly?  The oven will cut off if it's cooking on a timer.

My oven turns off on me after only a minute never heating up fully

Could be caused by either of following;

1. Faulty thermostat.
2. Faulty thermal cut out switch. (controls power to cooling fan).
3. Faulty cooling fan (not fan inside oven).

Test thermostat by setting thermostat to low temperature like 60 oC. If oven gets much hotter then its a faulty thermostat.
To test cooling fan and thermal switch take oven out and remove top or rear panels to expose components.
When oven gets hot the cooling fan should turn on. If it doesn't then check to see if there is a mains voltage present.
If mains current exist but fan is not turning then replace fan. If mains voltage is not present then its the thermal switch.
