Hi it sounds like it has had an elctric fault like a resistor failing. The click you heard would be a internal switch that cuts off the elctric supply to the screen to stop furthe damage hapening. It could even be something simple like a bad solder and in that case will need locating and resoldering. How old is the telly and how often is it used. When you switch it off leave it off for about an hour then try again if you have allready done this then it probably is a blown resistor are you sure nothing has been pressed on controll have you tried seeing if you can acess the menu screen via the remote and see if that comes up on the screen let me know ok
I think the problem is the screen resolution and size of your pc is not matching the resolution size of your tv or is not compatable at the size you have it on or you may have to change to 4:3 ratio from widescreen.
In your manual it will tell you the resolution sizes that you tv uses.
You would probably be better also using the VGA to DVI lead, thats if it came with the tv (it does in the UK) as it supports higher wide screen resolution, whereas VGA will only support 1024 x 768 or there abouts.
I had the same problem with mine, LG techs came out to my place and upgraded the software and the problem went away.
I had mine for nearly a year when it started, supposedly is it quite common.
Anyway, dont worry too much about it as easily fixed. I have been very happy with my TV and have used it everyday for 16 months. Just want a higher resolution TV now.
SAME PROBLEM BUT ONLY 13 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!
