No
the water will just run out if the hose is placed on the floor
mostly the problem is from items stuck in the pump impeller preventing the pump from spinning, blockage in the drain under the tub or motor not getting power
with the laundre saver ( suds saver) the pump rotation is reversed to draw water back from the washing tub so a reverse circuit is employed in the program board
it it is not sucking back and there is water in the laundry tub where the water was saved to, then call a technician to investigate the problem

I need to know how to remove the drain pump from the back of my GE Spacemaker washing machine.

I'm pretty sure the drain pump is in the bottom left or possibly right corner of the machine. The hoses on the back of the machine are going to the inlet water valve. Can you clarify?

Washes clothes perfect but will not discharge water out of machine fully on final spin.

If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck in the drain?) Also, check for these problems:If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly. If you can post your model number I can show you how to access the pump and drain line inside the machine.

We have a Kenmore 3.5 Super Capacity Quiet Tumble Action Wash Easy Access. The spin cycle works however the water won't drain and our laundry is soaked. Help...

It could be either the pump or a clog in the discharge hose. Take a shop vac and attach it to the discharge hose to remove the water from the machine. Remove the pump housing and run a wire down the discharge hose to check for a clog. If there is no obstructions, reattach the pump housing and remove the pump motor. Run a spin cycle and see if the pump motor turns.

My GE space saver stackable washing machine will

Im haveing the same exact problem on the same exact machine... I have taken all the pannels off, and drained the water. I was wondering if there may be a way that the pump lost it's prime and needs to be re-primed? (wishfull thinking on my part.) There was no indication that the pump burnt out, it just stopped working instantly with no symptoms. The other functions seem to work, it will agitate the laundry, and then will just stop when it comes to the pump cycle. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

Washing machine will not drain

Hi
The drain line is probably clogged. Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. In this case it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump.Remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. In case it clean there, check the outer tub port- open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port.

Cycles take too longon my GE Adora front load washer; the speed cycle is normally 30 minutes but takes 1.5 hours

It is probably the fill valve filter which is blocked or the drain outlet is obstructed.
You can clean the fill valve filter by turning the water off and disconnecting the hose ot hoses

There is a plastic filter just inside the valve which needs to be kept clean

If you have a slow discharge from the drain pump that also will cause the machine to take a long time on a cycle

Take the discharge hose out of the waste pipe clean the end and get someone with strong lungs to blow down it you should be able to hear air bubbles inside the machine if not then you may have a sock stuck in the pipe from the drum to the pump

Discharge hose does not fit onto laundry tub causing flooding.

Yes - they are sold at any hardware or appliance store. It is a drain tub clip.
